Dakmonian Magick and Ancient Order of Dakmonias
Dakmonias is by far the most powerful of the Powers that oversee the Dark Arts. He is the exact opposite to Spitzalod. Dakmonias stands fourteen feet in height, somewhat shorter than Spitzalod. Dakmonias is clothed in robes of the darkest velvet black trimmed in moonlight silver. His hair is a brilliant silver in color. His favorite scent is musk. Dakmonias� favorite color is black decorated with silver. His favorite day is Monday and is favorite hour is Midnight. His favorite drink is a liquor we now refer to as Cognac.
The name, Dakmonias, means Ruler of the North. It is also understood to mean, Prince of the Underworld. Whenever he comes near, the seeker will feel an icy chill penetrate their body, even on the hottest of days. While Dakmonias journeys where he will in the physical world, his favorite abode is in the icy caverns in the Northern regions of earth. He can also be found inhabiting dark caverns deep beneath the surface of the earth.
Dakmonias favorite gem is the diamond. He is drawn to its icy quality which permeates to its very depths. Dakmonias is a lover of snow and ice. One can easily imagine the Mighty Dakmonias, sitting deep in thought, in some icy cavern high atop a snowy mountain while the Northern Lights dance in the night sky overhead.
It is the express pleasure of this Mighty Power to empower Wizards and Sorceresses with the knowledge and power of the Dark Arts. It is also his express pleasure to recruit seekers and apprentices to his Order for the purpose of preserving a knowledge of AUTHENTIC BLACK MAGICK in the world.
The symbol for Dakmonias is also the initiation mark of his Order. That symbol is the Black Scorpion. It is a symbol and initiation mark used exclusively by those who practice Black Magick to the exclusion of any positive magick. This makes the Black Scorpion an appropriate symbol for his Order because it represents the pain and harm that can be inflicted on the unwary by a Wizard or Sorceress of The Ancient Order of Dakmonias. Many mortals have felt the sting of this fierce creature. Its victims can bear witness to the fact that the sting leaves its psychic scar upon the astral soul forever.
The wearer of this initiation mark are to be feared and respected by all, particularly the uninitiated. This is because only one Order of Wizards and Sorceresses are a match for those Dark practitioners of the Ancient Order of Dakmonias. They are the Fifth Level Wizards and Sorceresses of the Ancient Order of Spitzalod.
One might ask how such a terrifying occult magick Order could come into existence on a world where Spitzalod, a Positive Power and the Guardians were the Overseers? Moreover, why is Dakmonias and his Dark practitioners tolerated? After all, most pagan groups consider Black Magick as evil and to be avoided at all costs. The answer is simple. The Guardians and Spitzalod knew that there would be those who choose to practice the Dark Arts. Remember, the astral force is neutral. It consists of both the Positive AND the Negative energies. Both are necessary to the existence of physical and astral life and energy. Someone had to found an Order to make use of the Negative side of the astral force. That someone was the Power, Dakmonias. This allowed man to choose which Path he would follow by means of freewill, rather than because there was only one Path to walk. Spitzalod and the Guardians knew every man and woman could freely choose whether or not to walk the Positive Path or the Negative Path. No one would be forced to walk either Path through coercion. (This is where christian theologians get the theory that Adam and Eve, their mythical Creation figures, could choose to walk to Positive Path or the Negative Path.)
Without the Dark Side this choice would not exist. Humankind would always serve the Positive Side of the astral force because it would have no choice without the Dark Side. Life is meant to be a school. When you are presented with only one answer on an examination you cannot help but make the right choice and pass, no matter how undeserving you might be. The existence of the Dark Side is tolerated and allowed to provide more than one answer or one choice in life. Thus, Wizards and Sorceresses may choose to walk the Dark Path, or the Positive Path. Each Path has many travelers.
Dakmonias came into the world at the same time that Spitzalod and the other Powers did. Even in its most primitive state, humankind had the choice of which Power to follow, Spitzalod or Dakmonias. This is where Christianity gets its teachings that humankind is faced with two choices. Although they carry it to the extreme and teach the Dark Side will one day be destroyed. Christians also take one of the Powers, Lucifer, and isolate him out to be their scapegoat. They could have just as easily made Spitzalod or Dakmonias their scapegoat. Ironically, Lucifer is not the evil Power Christians claim him to be. He is a Noble Power of Light and Positive occult magick.
The difference between the christian version of Lucifer, whom they also call Satan, and Dakmonias is that we do not try to save people from the Dark Path once they have made their choice to follow it. Pagans understand that BOTH sides of the astral force are necessary. Christians, on the other hand, base their whole existence on the need to save people from the Dark Path and convert them all to the Positive Side. Which, in effect, if successful would cause such an imbalance in the astral force as to destroy the Universe. Ironically, over the last two thousand years, Christians have proven they are willing to do anything, no matter how evil, to rescue these supposedly lost souls. Millions of pagans have been slaughtered over the last two thousand years in a vain attempt to crush those who choose to practice the Dark Arts. Moreover, Christians have sought just as diligently in past Centuries to destroy other Christians who believe differently than they do. Christians have not only cruelly tortured and murdered pagans, they have done the same to members of other christian sects different from their own. Many of the most intense persecutions launched by various christian groups have even gone so far as to include the senseless murder of women and children. In the 19th Century, in America, Native American children were forcibly removed from their parents and forced to live as christian members of white communities in a vain attempt to wipe their own traditions and culture from the earth. One only need look at the state of Native American culture today to realize they nearly succeeded. Today, Christians are beginning to take a different approach by passing laws that legislate christian morality and ethics on the entire populace. This gives them a seemingly benevolent method of bringing pagans, Native Americans, and others under the iron thumb of christian domination. Sadly, many pagan groups now seem more like christian groups in terms of morality and ethics than pagans.
The fact is that neither the Positive Side of the occult magick world, or the Dark Side needs to attack the other to survive. They do, make no mistake about that. Nevertheless, in the Old Days they did not. In the Old Days both sides realized each was necessary to the other for balance and harmony in the astral force. This is what made occult magick so unique in the Old Days. It is what should make the ancient traditions so unique today. Pagans are staunch advocates of a man or woman's right to choose and then journey whatever Path they choose too. We do not try to convert each other as the christians do. We might strongly disagree with one another's occult magick philosophies or practices, and we often do. Still, Positive occult practitioners respect the right of Dark practitioners to exist and practice their magick. The Guardians and Spitzalod could have easily destroyed the Dark Arts long ago. They could destroy the Dark Arts today if they choose too. They did not choose to do so. Why then do we pagans seek to destroy other pagan groups we disagree with? Why then do we pagans often damn those who practice the Dark Arts when even the Powers do not do so? I will let the reader ponder those questions.
