TUNISIAN COMMUNITY CENTER
BACKGROUND
Motivated:
--By the desire to associate Tunisians in America, promote social responsability, and nurture the friendship between Tunisia and the United States and
--By the need to uphold their identity, nurture the Tunisian Culture, and promote their Heritage.
Inspired: -By the teachings of the father of Sociology, 14th Century Ibn Khaldoun, and by the U.S. Constitution :
A group of Tunisians in the US have formed The Tunisian Community Center, a non-profit Organization incorporated in the State of Delaware in August 1999 and governed by a board comprised of its Founding Directors and its Regional Coordinators.
VISION
They envisioned that the Tunisian population that is scattered across the US should be linked together to form a national network of Tunisian organizations.Such a Federation would strengthen already established local gatherings; provide support for emerging ones,and inspire the formation of new ones.
