Caroline Craig, the newest cop to Blue Heelers..

Blue Heelers is many Australians' favourite show, but what do you think of the latest addition to the cast, Caroline Craig?
She does not seem to suit the role, she looks too young and doesn't possess the authority of the character she is meant to be playing, Tess Gallagher.



Lisa McCune won seven Logies and touched our hearts playing Maggie, do you think Craig will fill her shoes?



Maybe she will get better, who knows. ........



Craig has no acting experience, except for studying drama at NIDA, graduating in 1999, in Sydney. She was 24 years old when she arrived on the show.



Caroline recently told an Australian magazine that she was so nervous filming on her first day that she spilt coffee down her costume and burnt herself.



Caroline sang at the Christmas Carols at the Domain in Sydney............. she really is trying to fill Lisa's shoes.



The character of Tess is senior to Ben on the show, but it doesn't really work, Ben is older, seems a more capable cop, and has more authority than Tess.



It looks as though the producers will push the character of Jo Parish, played by Jane Allsop, to be the next big thing. She has the charisma and the talent to go far.



An American critic rectnyl told TV week that the storyline involving Craig's entrance into the show was ridiculous, as she tried ti asser her authority and then didn't know how to arrest somebody. It was an interesting view point as he had never seen the show before and didn't like it.



Which brings me to a point. What is happening to Blue Heelers? it used to be my favourite show, but the produceres seem to be trying to fit a mould, rather than casting new fresh characters. Trying to find somebody that looks like Lisa MC Cune, as Caroline does, only seems to grate on the audience.


I think there are many actresses who would have been perfect for the role, such as Alyson White or Sonia Todd. They would add a different feel to the show, and have the years and experience behind them.



It's not all Craig's fault, as she is just doing her best in her job, but it seems that the cold character of Tess Gallagher is ruining Mount Thomas.
