Intercessory Prayer Ministry~Beyond Whiters' Walls

"BEYOND WHITERS' WALLS"

This intercessory prayer ministry was initiated on December 29, 2003, to pray for the men in the families of Nicole Myers Sheppard and Mini Myers Card. The focus of this ministry is in remembrance of Hertha Whiters Myers, who was born August 16, 1923 and passed on January 6, 1952, at the young age of 28. Mini was a baby at the time of her mother's death, and Nicole, who was born some 26 years later, is the daughter of Hertha's oldest son, Joe N. Myers. Hertha's descendants at the time of her death were: Joe N. Myers, age 10, Jessie B. Myers, age 5, James Earl Myers, age 4, Percy Lee Myers, age 2 1/2, and Minnie E. Myers, age 1.

Percy Lee Myers died in 1978 at the age of 29. (Note: Update ~ James Earl Myers passed May 2005 at the age of 57. We are assured that he is with Our Heavenly Father.) Hertha's living descendants now consist of her 3 children (Joe, Jessie & Mini), 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Through prayer and obedience, we have formed this ministry in memory of our mother and grandmother. Although the initial vision was to pray for the men in our families, God has given us the vision to expand this ministry to include as many males as possible. Our initial list consisted of approximately 50 names. As of February 16, 2004, there were approximately 375 names on the list.

We continue to accept names to add to this list as our vision continues to grow. The two of us come together once a week to pray in the spirit, calling out each name on our list. As our ministry continues to grow, we will be soliciting for other intercessors to join us in praying. Although the focus of the initial ministry was prayer for men (actually males ages 0 and up), this vision now includes women (females ages 0 and up).

Our weekly prayer sessions consist of: a theme for the week, preparation scriptures, focus scriptures, weekly scriptures, visions, interpretations, and the areas that we are binding and rebuking in prayer, along with those areas that we are loosing and confessing in prayer. We are prayer warriors, and we come together fully armoured and ready for battle each week! We do pray in tongues. (Please read "Why Tongues" by Kenneth E. Hagin)

Our 2008 vision is to pray for marriages! Please feel free to submit prayer requests and other names for prayer by emailing us. Please include the name and state where the person live.

We pray that the memory of our beloved mother and grandmother, Hertha Whiters Myers, live on through our prayers of deliverance and salvation for the men and women in our families and those "Beyond Whiters' Walls".
