Dear Ward One Constituents; The past "INACTIONS" and "BLUNDERS" have brought me to this decision. I am a 55 year old widow,a hard worker and fully understand the political system and how it works. I served for one term in Ward Three, 6 years ago., and since then City Hall has been floundering from one problem to another. I am and always will remain committed to the betterment of London and our quality of life.I would like to offer my services to Ward One and London again.
1) Public input/accessability process "MUST" mean ACTION AND RESULTS
2) Be prepared to "ACT" on issues effecting "ALL" of London (eg.. resolve issues with CPP and CNN) city-wide plan
SENIOR ISSUES, YOUTH NEEDS, HOMELESS...THE PROBLEMS ARE NUMEROUS..
3) Neighbourhood problem solving "MONTHLY MEETINGS" INVOLVE COMMUNITIES IN SEEKING SOLUTIONS.
4)Fully support 'HARRASSMENT-FREE" policies
5) Deal up front with "CONTROVERSIAL ISSUES"
6) 'PROMOTE LONDON" through all available partners..eg.LONDON ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT,ADVANCE LONDON,LONDON TOURISM ETC..
7) "SENSIBLE" Planning Decisions/cut down on constant "CONSULTANT REPORTS"
ensure proper roadways and access are on stream when large developments are approved
8) A Ring Road "MUST" be resolved. TRAFFIC CONGESTION HAS BECOME A NIGHTMARE!
9) Open lines between "PROVINCIAL" and "FEDERAL" partners..eg. downloading city service costs.
10) Suggest "CORPORATE INVESTMENTS" for projects that should not be funded by taxes. e.g. Stonehenge entrance from Airport, and groups financially capable of fund raising.
11) Halt potential legal blunders that cost the "TAXPAYERS" STOP THE FOOT IN MOUTH RESPONSES!
