This great event is being chaired by Judy Hinkelman and Connie Peterson. Judy has again arranged our Christmas Party at the St. Joe Elks Club, noted for their GREAT prime rib. The doors will open at 6:00 pm for fun and fellowship (cash bar available) with dinner at 7:00 pm. The dinner cost this year is $20.50 per person.
However, if you qualify and attend the dinner, the following cash rebates will be distributed: $5 to every member who attends and $10 to each member who worked on the dog shows or the show at Orchard’s Mall. Not bad!!! If you qualify for the full rebate of $15, the FINAL COST of the meal will only be $5.50.
Everyone pays the full $20.50 per person with your reservation and the cash rebates will be distributed at the party. Paid Reservations are due no later than the November meeting. You can also send your check for $20.50 per person to: Connie Peterson, 415 Nichols Road, Benton Harbor 49022.
During the social hour, Connie and Judy have also arranged to have some one (probably Gus & Bernie) selling tickets for the 50:50 raffle.
Another annual event that produces some interesting gifts is the raffle of items donated by members who attend the party. Our hostesses remind us that the donated gifts do NOT have to be dog-related items
Then of course there will be the “blind” gift exchange, with all participants having a chance to select a mysteriously wrapped gift from under the tree and if they don’t like that one, they can prowl around the room looking for a gift some one else has already opened that they like better. Everyone who wants to participate is asked to bring a wrapped gift costing at least $10.
The highlight of the evening will again be the presentation of awards that have been earned over the past 12 months. It’s always great fun to review all of the accomplishments of our members and their canines
Directions: Drive to downtown St. Joseph on Main Street and turn west (towards the lake) on Broad Street. The Elks Club, 518 Broad Street is in the second block on the south (left) side.

You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."
