ABOUT ME
My name is Julie Campbell and I am a miniaturist and doll artist living in the North East of England. I am co founder of the British Miniature Doll makers Guild.
As a busy mum of 3 teenagers I work from home creating miniature character dolls to bring life and charm to any miniature setting or doll collection.
I am passionate about miniatures and have four dolls houses of my own .I believe that dolls are the finishing touch for any dolls house or miniature setting and as such should be very special
My dolls are created with love ,care and great attention to detail.
I have developed an endearing wide eyed look for my dolls,and all of my dolls seem to develop their own little personalities as I create them.I never seem to run out of ideas for new characters and I am happy to work with your ideas to make very special personalised dolls.
I am very proud that my dolls have been featured in "Dolls House and Miniature Scene" , "DOll" , "American Miniaturist" and "Dolls House World" magazines
The Dolls
The dolls are hand sculpted by myself from polymer clay. I do not use moulds, I prefer to sculpt each doll individually so that, as in life, no two are identical. My dolls are strongly constructed and fully jointed so are very poseable.They can sit , stand and even their heads can tilt in all directions.
I hand paint each doll in the finest detail to bring their faces to life. I use mohair or viscose hair and, when making period dolls, hairstyles are carefully researched for authenticity .
Once each little character is made I can then dress them. All the clothing is researched for authenticity. I hand sew every item from under-wear to outer-wear using fine materials and trimmings. I often use vintage fabrics and antique lace.
I can create a doll for any era and any style.
All my dolls have lovely expressions on their faces and can brighten up any dolls house! As one lady remarked at a recent miniatures fair "Your dolls look so lovely and friendly !"
Each Bellabelle Doll is one of a kind, to be treasured forever.

I also work to commission and make dolls to order.I am happy to take international orders.
Whatever type of doll you have in mind I can make one!If you have something special in mind email me with your ideas and I can come up with the doll of your dreams.
I can also work from photographs to create character dolls resembling real life characters!
Each Bellabelle Doll is totally unique and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Placing an Order
Email me to discuss the doll you would like to order.As each of my dolls is one of a kind I dont make the same doll twice but if you see a doll you like in my Galleries I will make something in similar style. Working with your ideas I can create the perfect doll for you . I will email you back with the price and then when your doll is ready I email photos for approval.

Prices
I try to keep my dolls reasonably priced.Prices for a custom made doll range from £20 for children and from £30-40 for adults depending on how much work goes into the costume.Each doll is unique, very collectable and hopefully a future heirloom !
Please note I only make 12th Scale dolls
I have now branched out into the world of fairies and will be adding more fairy folk to my Enchanted Collection throughout the year.
Very different to my dolls house dolls ,these are very special little creatures, each one a tiny work of art .Hours of work go into each tiny figure .These are not poseable like my dolls house dolls but are unique and very collectable.Each figurine is hand sculpted over a strong wire armature. The finished doll is then painted with genesis oil paints and wigged with the finest tibetan hair. The fairies have beautiful handmade wings and the mermaids and other creatures are detailed to the highest standards . I am happy to take on commissions . British Miniature Doll Makers Guild
Fellow Doll Maker Nicky Cooper and myself have felt for a while that there is something missing in the minaiature world for doll makers . We have set up a guild for British Doll Makers , a place where we not only can unite but also learn, teach, and promote our craft .There are quite a few other guilds, but few that are specifically for doll makers and none at all based for us Brits!
The Guild is open to all British doll makers from novices to professionals and also those that costume dolls.
