AVONIEL SHOTOKAN KARATE CLUB
The Avoniel SKC was established 1995 and is situated just outside Belfast city centre. The club has a membership of around 20 students who have had various successes at local and national levels. See Avoniel History page.
The instructor isJohnRichardson. John started karate back in 1984 at the, Rochfords SKC Slough. He gained his 1st and 2nd Dan under the late Sensei Enoeda. He then moved to Belfast and gained his 3rd Dan in October 1998 and his 4th Dan August 2005 under Sensei Kawasoe 8th Dan ITKF.
Assistant instructor is Asdis Lindel. Asdis is a 2nd Dan under Sensei Kawasoe, JTKI. A business and life coach as well as NLP practitioner. She is a qualified Sport massage, classic massage therapist and has coached athletics at university in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Sensei Kawasoe comes to N.Ireland on a regular basis to grade the students of Avoniel SKC and other clubs within the NITKF which Avoniel SKC is part of.
Come and learn a traditional art, some self defence and grow in confidence in friendly surroundings.
Wednesday nights Ashfields Girl School 7.30pm to 9pm.
Friday nights Ahfields Girls School 7pm to 8.30pm.
