. . . Have you ever wondered what your family was like during Victorian times? Well, there is a way to find out. The U.S. census is taken every 10 years and, beginning with the 1850 census, can provide the names of family members, ages, location, place of birth, occupation and more. It is a wonderful way to get a glimpse of our families during the Victorian Era and connect your ancestor's picture to a real life. The information can be easily inserted onto a scrapbook page among his/her pictures and other memoribilia. The census records are primary source documents, which means they were recorded at the time of the event. It's the next best thing to actually being there!
