We are proud of Australia's acquisition of a multiplicity of ethnic languages which have contributed to intellectual, educational and cultural diversity and richness that have also helped to fulfil famial, social and vocational needs. Our interest is exercised through the Ethnic Schools System, in association with the Ethnic Schools Board of the South Australian Government. The System has existed here in South Australia since 1839 and we now have 184 ethnic schools in our state, managed by 96 school authorities, catering for 8659 students who are studying 44 different languages, of which our's - HINDI - is one, through our Hindi School of South Australia.
