Well Jerry A. and I got home from the GPAA Gold Show in Primm, Nv. last night after a shortcut thru the desert, woops!!!
The show was one of the best I have attended. GPAA had 2150 participants plus the ones that were on the 3rd register which had a misshap when X out.
We did not excape without any problems. The 5.4gram nugget turned up missing shortly after 4pm on Sat. We looked all over the place but to no avail, it was gone. We had 4 members around the nugget and no one saw a thing. I made a mad dash to see Rob at 49er Mining for a replacement nugget. Around 6pm I got a call from Terry saying he had found the nugget and was at the shows main entrance. When I got there he was with a family of 3. It seems their 6yr old had picked up the nugget while his parents were talking to our 4 members at the table. The poor kid wouldn't take his eyes off the floor and he was dooing his best to hide behind his dad. His dad had noticed him looking at the nugget while on one of the rides. A BIG THANKS TO DAD.
At this time I would like to thank all the members that helped GPAA and Au Mojave setup and break down the booths. Thanks to Jerry A., Terry, Carol, Joan, Mike, Glen, Sally. We also had a few other members stop by and help for a while, THANKS!!!
DON FORGET OUR NEXT MEETING WILL BE AT COCO'S ON 05/21/09 AT 7PM
BIG BOB
