A Conditional Dasha of Maharishi Parashara - an Original Research
by Naval Singh
Guide & Editor: K N Rao

The author has been a very keen researcher in Astrology. After he decided to take up one of the conditional dashas of Parashara he chose Chatursheeti Sama Dasha as his subject of research.
Following the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan tradition of going into divisional horoscopes, he discovered the application of Chatursheeti Sama Dasha to a birth horoscope and divisional horoscopes. This is high level of consistency which gives to Jyotisha a good name and to modern students of astrology confidence in handling dashas not known or used before by other astrologers who wrongly mistake Vimshottari Mahadasha as the only and ultimate dasha. No doubt Vimshottari, Kaal Chakra and Chara Dashas are what Parashara explained in more detail in his magnum opus the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra and has given even no hints about the use of other dashas, it should be clear to any student of astrology, that the mention of those dashas is a good enough hint to employ them effectively.
The author tested his researches on the collection of correct horoscopes in his possession and he tested them on many horoscopes which his guide and editor had. He has succeeded in proving his research.
