      The seven planets together with the two Nodes of the Moon constitute the 'Navagrahas'. These are, in the Upanishadic phraseology, "but the eternal sustainers of this luminous life which exists as it were behind all these phenomena".
      The possible combinations of the aspects of these planets on the twelve houses are countless. As each planet can stand to each of the others in twelve different aspects, their combinations must almost be infinite--as infinite as the spiritual, psychic, mental and physical capacities in the numberless varieties of humanity.
      Each of the varieties is born under one of the seven planets and one of the said countless planetary combinations. The chief features of one's life are always in accordance with the constellation that one is born under or with the characteristics of its animating principle or the deity that preside over it.
