A. Charter Member.
B. Legally own and operate a motorcycle (minimum 500cc).
C. Spouse of a member or adult partner (e.g. significant other).
D. Six month trial period under the sponsorship and guidance of a member in good standing in which a prospective member attends runs, meeting, and breakfasts in order to acquaint themselves with each and every chapter member, demonstrate their riding ability, understand our rules and regulations and clearly demonstrate their desire to become a member of the American Spirit Family. The prospective member must attend all meetings and ride with the club at least six times within six months of their initial application. The prospective member may request to be excused from only one meeting during their trial period for illness, work or a family emergency by contacting the chapter President prior to a scheduled meeting. The prospect’s request will be put to a vote and if rejected the prospect must begin his trial period again. If these requirements are not completed within the initial six month time frame, a second application must be made and will be their final application. Under no circumstances will a vote a on a prospect’s membership be taken unless each and every chapter member, in good standing, can state that they either know and/or have ridden with the prospect and can make an informed decision as to whether or not the prospect should or should not become a member of American Spirit M.C.
E. Majority vote of acceptance by the Club Membership and an initiation fee of $50.
F. No affiliation with any other road riding motorcycle club, with the exception of inactive membership in manufacturer sponsored associations, e.g. Harley Owners Group, Royal Star Assoc., and Honda Riders.
G. Current Membership in the American Motorcyclists Association (AMA).
