Dear Mr. Shaw:

Discussing Century Cruise options with potential first-time "cruisers" is one of the things I enjoy most about my job. I am confident that a Caribbean cruise would be an ideal anniversary gift for your wife. You can be assured that this gift would provide life-long memories. However, I must caution you. Most people can't go on just one cruise. Once they go, they want to go on another and another.

When we were discussing your plans, you wondered how you could keep the cruise a surprise if you had to have a U.S. passport. I checked to see what options may be acceptable. An original birth certificate (or certified copy) and a driver's license would meet entry requirements.

If you have additional questions regarding the information we discussed on Tuesday, please give me a call.

SUBJECT: SPRING TRAINING TOUR

I have received a number of calls in the last few days from individuals interested in a tour of spring-training camps. Even though we do not have anything planned for this year, we may want to start making plans for next year.

Plans could include attending a Met game in Clearwater, a Yankee fame in Fort Lauderdale, and a Red Sox game in Fort Myers. Perhaps we could even arrange a day for tour members to attend Epcot, Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom, Disney's MGM Studios, or Sea World.

We may want to consider the possibility of inviting former Met, Yankee, or Red Sox player to led the tour. If you think this idea is worth pursing, let me know.

THE CARIBBEAN ISLANDS

The Caribbean Islands are a renowned tourist attraction. Known for thier white sandy beaches, abundant sunshine, and panoramic ocean view, the islands are a peaceful getaway for thousands of Caribbean tourist. Barbados, the Cayman Islands, and Jamaica are featured in this month's newsletter.
Barbados
If you are looking for a picturesque island, consider Barbadis. "Powdery beaches line the waters of the clam Caribbean Sea on the coast, while the waves of the Atlantic thunder in on the eastern shore." (Fodor's, 1991, 144)
With elegant hotels, tours, fine restaurants, and shopping options, Barbados is one of the preferred islands in the Caribbean. Spectator sports such as cricket, horse racing, polo, and soccer are also available to tourist. If you are more interested in participant sports, try wind surfing, scuba diving, and horseback riding.
Jamaica
If you are looking for long sandy beaches, historic landmarks, and a sun-drenched climate, consider Jamaica. With an average temperature of 80 degrees, it is a vacation paradise.
As can be expected, winter (December through April) brings larger crowds and higher rates than other seasons. The finer hotels are generally located on the north side of the island.
2
However, for the budget-conscious traveler, Jamaica offers several package deals for selected resort areas. Package deals make, it possible to stay at several resort areas during your visit.
Jamaica offers over two hundred miles of beaches. With a few exceptions, most of the beaches are relatively quiet and uncrowded. Some of the more popular beaches include Cornwall Beach, Walter Fletcher Beach in Montego Bay, Puerto Seco at Discovery Bay, the seven-mile strip in Negril, Mallards Beach in Ocho Rios, and Boston Beach.
Cayman Islands
If you are looking for a beach front apartment with an abundance of sunshine, quality beaches, and a view of the sea, go to the Cayman Islands. The islands are particularly enticing to those interested in scuba diving and big-game fishing.
The islands consist of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman. The Grand Cayman's west-coast stretch of Seven Mile Beach is the island's primary vacation attraction. Even though hotel and condos have sprouted along the entire length of Seven Mile Beach, the water is still placid and clean; and the reefs just offshore still teem with life. (Solomon, 1994, 6F) Tiara Beach and Brac Reef Beach are the showpieces of Cayman Brac. Isolated beaches (Sandy Point and Owen Cay) can be found on Little Cayman.
