EXPERIENCE SUMMARY:
Mr. Ashit Sarkar is a Management Advisor & Consultant - after having over 47 years of professional career and rich experience - mostly in ITC and Britannia Industries Ltd. - the two major multinational giant FMCG market leaders in India - both in the manufacturing plants/factories in the Production and Personel/HR functions, and later, in their Corporate Head Offices, and finally retiring as Senior Vice President - Human Resource. The service life included an overseas posting, and considerable interaction with the overseas partners to develop organizational relationship.

Mr. Sarkar has been connected with many professional bodies like NIPM, AIMA, EFI, GMCCI, BMA, FKCCI, and AIMO etc., often in their Executive Committees from time to time. He represented the Indian employers at Geneva as a member of the ILO's Second Food & Drinks Committee (1991-96). He is currently an advisor to the All India Manufacturers Organisation (AIMO) on all labour issues. He was based in many different locations in India & abroad, and had regularly and widely travelled to Europe, USA, Gulf & the Far East, both for professional purposes, as well as to meet personal commitments. He was involved in Management Development activities for well over 20 years, and has specialized in the restructuring of the Management Compensation system - he was a member of the multi-national RemClub (HR Heads of 15 Multinationals) for almost two decades. Additionally, he was an examiner at the Indian Institute of Science for Ph.D. students in Personnel Management. Many of his articles have been published in reputed journals, books or papers, and he has made many presentations, and given a large number of talks at various professional Seminars, Workshops & other forums, including to the management students in their institutions.
Mr. Sarkar is a keen photographer, enjoys people interaction, reading & music, and is also involved with many philanthropic & welfare organisations. He is a life member of The World Wildlife Fund, Alzheimer Association of West Bengal and the Cheshire Homes, India.

Dr. Ratna SarkarB.Tech (IIT/Kanpur), MBA & Ph.D. (Stanford) Assistant Professor of Business Administration in the Accounting and Control area of the Harvard Business School.
Two grand-daughters - both schooling in the United States of America.
