A Star Wars Event
Another AMAZING show!!
The Jedicon event was once again held at the Basildon Sports Centre. The wonderful Michael Sheard was once again guest M.C, but this time also co-auctioneered with the equally wonderful Mike Edmunds. The Auction contained some interesting items, some of which went for very modest sums.
The star guest at this event was Mr Brian Blessed. Not only known for his role as Boss Nass in The Phantom Menace, but for an almost endless list of other fine performances. Dr Who, Black Adder and The Flash Gordon movie to name but a few. Brian is currently starring in the stage version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in London. Brian (quite unknowingly,I`m sure) upstaged the other guests with his interesting stories, booming voice and commanding presence.
Jedicon once again had great dealers selling a veried range of interesting merchandise. The atmosphere at these events is very relaxed and friendly.
The Jedicon Fanzine no 2 was on sale, my copy was once again signed by the mag`s charming editor. The fanzine is improving by leaps and bounds and is still sold at a very reasonable price. Make sure you buy a copy at the next Jedicon event as they are a great way to remember the day and are also very good to get signed as they usually contain photo`s of all the stars attending the show.
