Crazy Animals Questions & Answers
Ok, this is another addition to our Crazy Animal House website. This page is for questions about animals. Q: How do I know If my gerbil is pregnant?
A: Well, They will probably eat a little more, and not run around quite as much because they will be spending time makeing a nest. She will probably be a little fatter than usual.
Q: Can I put my male betta in my tank with all my other fish?The tank has a female betta fish too.
A: Well, let's see. I put my male in my tank, which also has a female in the tank. Sometimes I leave him in the tank, or if I want to try to spawn my two betta fish, then I put him in a vase in the tank so that he can see the female, plus he is in warm water. I have him in a vase inside the tank for three reasons; So he has warm water, so he can see the female and everything else in the tank, and because at the moment I dont have a good small tank for a betta fish. I let my male swim around in the tank with the fish alot, but not if I cant check on them atleast twice a day.
Q: My gerbils are fighting!What do I do?!
A: Try to seperate them, but not with your hands. Try using a peice of cardboard and hold it up in between them. Make sure that they cant reach your hand. Once you seperate them, get one to go into a box or something to pic them up with. What I did next was I got an extra see through tub, and I put some peices of cardboard in it, and a little bit of some food. Then I put the two gerbils in at the same time, as far apart as I could start them. I watched them for about an hour or so, to make sure the wouldn't start fighting badly. The did go at it once or twice, but they quite after a couple of seconds. They dont fisht as much in the tub because neither of them has their scent there, so neither is really the boss of the place. In the tub, they are both equal.
