After its completion, he [260] considered that Ez 47 may refer to the integrity of the Sacred Grove and the 13 tribes/months of the trees in relation to the future transformation of the Holy Land. To Graves, this has bearing on the Battle of the Trees and the poetic problems stated at the beginning of the White Goddess.

EW71&3 4Q547 The text assigns Angels to Trees which represent kingdoms. [Ez17&31 refers to the Cosmic Tree] ‘Then the Angel upon whom rested the brilliant light arose, and the 4 trees after him.’

The enthroned ‘Adam’ is not God. It is God's likeness reflected in spiritual man.
[a]‘He’ is the unchanging SUN-GOD [ with serpent legs] who rules from the apex of a cone of light over the 4 regions of the round universe.
[b] ‘He’ represents the eagle/ winged goat poised above the 4 beasts/man-faced serpents [here Ezekiel subtly brings in the serpent and goat. He may be responsible for the idea of the seductive Eden serpent.]
[c] ‘He’ is the ever-changing bull-calf celestial Hercules linked to the 7 letter name of immortal God and emblematic of the spiritual life of mortal man.
[4] ASTROLOGY
[i] The 7 colours of the rainbow surrounding the enthroned man correspond with the 7 heavenly bodies that rule the week.

The mystic sect behind the Scrolls adhered to an astrological system based on the Creation. They were aware of the precession of the Zodiac:

Divination -The text records the movement of the moon with respect to the signs of the zodiac and combines that approach with the hearing of thunder. If it thunders on a day when the moon is in Taurus, it signifies vain changes in the world.

Ezekiel's vision of the Chariot is the only Mystery that is still regarded in the Western world with a certain awe[WG 463].
The Qumran mystic sects’ visionary, eschatological and textual adherence to the Ezekiel tradition is clear[Ew19]. Ezekiel seems to be the prophet to whom the sect owes the most [WG 164].
WG Ezekiel subtly brings in the presence of the serpent and goat. He may also be responsible for bringing in the idea of the seductive serpent in Eden.

The 'landing legs' are the creatures and have their faces [Blumrich would say they have fairings etc similar to others seen 'above' and/or before the legs are deployed. They are temple guardians and later the 4 Evangelists.
