I've cleaned up the list a bit, getting rid of bad links, and deleting all of the rather redundant "update" listings.
The ALISF page was getting kind of crowded with all the links, so I have made a separate links page.
This whole web page was started because of a ridiculous christian web page that claimed that the TV show Lost in Space was a cleverly disguised metaphor for christianity. That page is no longer on the internet, but it is archived here.
It's rather strange that the page that inspired this one is now gone-- and the page it inspired lives on, as prosperous as ever.

As a personal note, years ago I washed out an old Pluto Water bottle so that I could fill it with home brew. I had used a solution of baking soda and water. The baking soda solution in the bottle dried in such a way as to either form an image of jesus himself, or of a heavy metal rocker.
Did I put the bottle on a pillow, and have people come from far and wide to venerate it? Nope. I washed it out, rinsed it with a solution of sodium metabisulfate, and filled it with home brew. That jesus fellow ain't got no business putting his face on my stuff.

Jonathan Park debate
There's a moronic christian radio show called Jonathan Park that promotes the antiscience of creationism. This blog gave a scathing review of the show, and the show's creator showed up to defend himself. This is great for a few laughs, as the show's creator enganed in the usual lame arguments. Why can't creationist droolers come up with some new bad arguments.

The Soul Winning Robot
Here we go again. Yet another christian has decided to pervert the concept of Lost in Space by duct taping it to christianity.
To Alex, I apologize. Your web page is, in comparison, a bastion of intelligence and subtlety.
Oh, isn't that lovely. The guy is using the Lost in Space robot, an icon of science fiction, to promote the anti science messages of creationism and christianity.
The premise of the robot's anti science rant is as follows: just like a robot cannot arise from nature, but rather needs a designer, so too life needs a designer, therefore goddidit. Sigh. Warming up the old, dead "a watch needs a watchmaker" argument does not make it any more valid than when it was refuted about, oh, a couple of centuries ago.
Frankly, what this person is doing is disgusting. It is about on the level of taking the Lost in Space robot and using it as a prop in a photo shoot for Hustler. I admit I do not have much sympathy for license holders and their greedhead attitudes-- but at the same time I can see their point in this instance. Let's hope the license holders for Lost in Space put him out of business immediately. Gadzooks-- greedheads might actually do something good for a change, in spite of themselves. These are strange times we live in.
UPDATE 10/19/08 The above bit of repellant spew has left the web. The version here is preserved on archive.org. It took way too long-- but sanity finally did prevail. Yet another drooler web page dies, while this page still thrives. Sometimes life can be fair.
