Vanishing Frogs
Frogs are vanishing everywhere around the world and its because of our wasteful and unlawful tactics. Humans are not being considerate of these sensitive amphibians. Frog populations have decreased as the habitats have been poisoned, crushed or even done away with altogether.The population of frogs and the population of humans are like David and Goliath when compared.
Humans are not even stopping to see what they are doing to wildlife. They dump trash in rivers and streams and leave old furniture on the side of the road and littering has endangered the lifes of many frogs.For example, some frogs have been injured by being:
*squashed in windows and doors being shut by unaware people
*Poisoned(deliberate and accidental)
*Burned and scalded(usually accidental but, very sorry to say, sometimes deliberate)
*sprayed with chemicals meant for cane toads
*accidentally stepped on or crushed by falling objects(flower pots, display stands,tree branches etc.
*lacerated by farm machinery or workers harvesting fruit
But you can stop these dreadful attacks on Frogs by:
*Steady flower pots, display stands etc.
*fixing a manmade pond with a frog safe enviroment
*have a few extra feet on your feilds to catch the chemicals from going in waterways
*try and cut back the branches that are looking dead or is about to fall off
*try to keep tempatures of outdoor water lower and shoo the frogs away instead of scalding them
*Try and keep leave burning or trash burning in the yard to a minimum and let trash or leaves accumulate before burning a tiny bit at a time
