Thomas Hudson WALKER(3rd), John(2nd) Alexander(1st), was born October 31, 1784 in Rockbridge County, Virginia. On May 16, 1816, he married Elizabeth Culton. He was a leading elder in New Providence Church for over 50 years; was drafted for service War of 1812, but, being greatly needed at home, supplied a substitute. Two of there children died young. The other three were:
1. Margaret WALKER married William McCutcheon
2. James Alexander WALKER , Capt. Married Mary E. Brown
3. Robert Culton WALKER married Ellen Hendren (page 280)
