Dr. Clark says that to prevent alcoholism, protect your liver from food molds, especially ergot. Add Vitamin C to nuts, pasta, cereals, grains, and even alcoholic beverages. The alcoholic should also do liver cleanses until 2000 stones are expelled. According to Dr. Clark, liver blockage can force beryllium to circulate through the body. When beryllium reacts with alcohol in the addiction center of the brain, together they turn the brain into an uncontrolled machine. Neurotransmitters are released that shouldn't be; others are not released that should be. Depression may be lifted - or caused.
To help the brain recover its neurotransmitter status, Dr. Clark recommends the alcoholic take with each meal Niacinamide (B-3), 500mg. (not Niacin, unless a "flush" is desired), to help detoxify ergot. and also to remove the brain beryllium using thioctic acid (also called alpha lipoic acid). Dr. Clark recommends that if any member of the family is, or was, addicted to alcohol, the house should be searched for beryllium sources. Hurricane lamps or antique lamps are the most common sources. All solvents, cleaners and lighters should be removed. The garage door to the house should be sealed. Avoid exposure to gasoline when filling up the car, and even switch to an electric lawn mower. Addicted persons should never choose a career that exposes them to paint, solvents, or petroleum products, nor walk into a dry cleaners.
