AUTHOR BIO:
I reside on the east coast of North Carolina-in Jacksonville. The home of Camp Lejeune Marine Corp Base. I have made this my home for over 25 years. I love this area, the beaches, the beauty, the closeness to larger metropolitan cities. I am surrounded by excellent medical facilities, New Bern, Duke, Chapel Hill. But, it is the warmth of the people in this community that I’ve fallen in love with. This is my first attempt at writing a book and I do sincerely hope it will touch your soul. The very hand of God’s was guiding me throughout the chapters I typed. So, all glory goes to Him.
I am recently widowed and this book will be in memory of my late husband, Richard L. Lilly -retired E-9 -USMC and former owner of Real Estate Center of Jacksonville, which caught fire and was completely destroyed shortly after his death. I have a grown daughter , I raise my grandson, who is now 14-that I have had since an infant. He is my grandson and son wrapped into one. I also am a very proud grandmother. And recently a great-grandmother-I love people and tend to be an extrovert-active in so many things, loving my home and yard the most. I’m very much a home-body.
Love of animals is my next passion. They bring so much joy, peace and healing. I have 3 cocker spaniels, a bichon frishe and 4cats.
I am very much an American and stand firmly for the red, white and blue, supporting our troops, making sure they get the credit they deserve. Of course, living in a large military town, where would my devotion lay, if not for our brave men & women in uniform.?
The book release is tentatively set for around mid to late June.

I am happy from the inside out and my sincere hope is that each of you share this happiness for me. Be my honored guest, come along on this journey of celebrating this my first book. Read it, enjoy it, comment on it. But, most of all pray for me, pray that it reaches, touches, makes an impact on women as they read and turn each page. Pray for it’s success. I can not even explain how I felt the closeness of God as I typed chapter after chapter. It is no easy task to get a first publication off the ground. Hello Family and Friends,
My Book: “Too Soon Old; Too Late Smart, and book of Hope & Renewal” ISBN# 0-595-38787-X is finished-in the final production process. Hurray!! With God's help-I-Universe, my publishing company, & everyone that has helped and been behind me I thank you from the bottom of my heart!
My book should appear for sale on sites within 4-6 weeks. In this time frame it allows my printer to set up the book for order fullfillment. Barnes and Noble is usually the first to display a title and Amazon last. Although any bookstore should be able to order my book for you if they can access Ingram(ipage)database after the 4-6 week time frame.
Book signings are in the process of being sceduled and I will get those dates available to you on this web-site soon.
Please continue to pray for me as "now" my book will be in hands of readers. It took couage for me to try something new. Write, become an author by producing my first book. Feel free to sign my guestbook; I want to hear your comments. Allow the spirit of compassion to flow through you as digest my book. Know I was reaching out to females everywhere. I have faith and "faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen," Hebrews 11:1.

Well, I am so happy, finally, to announce the book is done and out there!! I could not have done this without the help of my publishing company and numerous people giving me encouragement and support.
I have several book signings in and around the Eastern North Carolina area. In late October I'll be in Knoxville, Tenn. for a signing. I wish with all my heart I could be out there to talk and reach out to all females all over the USA. That, unfortunately, isn't possible. So, the next best thing was for me to develop this web-site for your encouragement and above all to stay in contact with my readers. I need to hear from you and know I helped! Please don't hesitae to sign my guestbook and give me your comments.
As I heal from the death of my husband, I know, without a shadow of doubt,the very presence of God have been with me during this whole business of writing and getting this book published. Now, as it hits the market and is circulated, bought and read. I pray sincerely that it touches you as much as it healed me.
So, now it is in your hands with word of mouth, prayer and just, maybe, a small bit of crossing my fingers behind my back, it will be all I hoped it would be.

It is a beautiful Sunday morning and I wanted to touch base with each of you. I greatly appreciate the comments put in my guestbook. Encouraging words and your suuport mean a lot. I am human and, of course, want this my first book, to get off to a booming start. When things slow down or book signings don't go as well as expected; discouragement sets in. But, I have faith that things will work out for the best.
The best being, a nice article concerning me and the book was in this mornings newspaper( our local paper). Radio spots will start here locally September 18th and will continue for two weeks. All these things do help. But, my biggest desire is to have the book read and comments put out there by "readers". The ole' saying,"word of mouth is the best form of advertising" is by far the best coarse of action.
Sometimes disappointments are temporary set-backs, a way of testing one's determination. Believe me I am determined!
So, everyone out there----friends, neighbors,family--buy this my book, read it, let it touch your soul and give me those comments. This way I also have a base to start my second book. Yep-my second one!
God speed and have wonderful days......Fall is in the air-temperatures are cooling down. This season is one of my favorites.

Hello, fans and friends. Will you forgive me for not up-dating my web-site recently? I am still on my second book, hopefully, finishing it this year 2008. I was very much way-laid by crcumstances beyond my control. But, now working deligently each day for it's completion.
Remember, without your help, support, prayers and word of mouth it would be impossible for me to do justice to my first book and get the word out about this up-coming second one.
So, I ask for you continued support in this my goal to become an established author.
I thank each and everyone of you who have purchased my first book,told a friend, or bought another book as a gift to some else. Your compliments and praises after reading it, warms my heart! There isn't too many days that go by that someone doesn't approach me about the book.
I was in a physcial therapist office a while back waitig for my Thomas to get through with his session. A therapist looked out into the waiting room, because some days I do not go in, just wait outside in my SUV for him. She motioned for me not to leave, coming back out with my first book in her hand. Telling me she had ordered it, read it, and wanted me to sign it. Her compliment was so needed that day; because this particular one had been hectic( a lot of us have those, right?) and also, I seemed to be stuck on a chapter of my second book. God works in mysterious ways, hey? So, thanks from the bottom of my heart, Lolita. I am so blessed.

HELLO TO ALL AGAIN!! 10/20/08.. It defiitely has been several months since I've added a statement or comment to my web-site. But, guess what? The book is completed and I sent it in to the publishing company..so we are on the way to making it a book! Horray!!It is getting there people-honest. I would have never dreamed writing would be this time consuming. Grant you, I haven't banged away at the keyboard 24-7 since I last posted something. It is the thought process that takes the most concentration.But, anyway, it is on it's way to becoming a book. So, keep your fingers crossed and the prayers coming. I'll let you know when we are close to printing and getting it out to the public.Keep checking back &please get the word out about my first book and don't forget to sign the guestbook. 01/08/09- Happy New Year! 2009. Hope everyone's Christmas was marvelous! We here at the Lilly residence had a so many blesssings. We went home to Tennessee and saw our loved ones-traveling back to North Carolina a few days after Santa arrived. It was wonderful to arrive back home, but it was wonderful to see everyone also. As I have written previously, my second book has been turned into my puplisher and I am in the waiting process. So keep those prayers coming. God bless you in this coming 2009
