Help with crafting!!!

Welcome Dartmud players! As of now I go by Elrol the Elf. I am mostly a mage, but I have some other skills too. My skills are not that good, but i will teach in SC(to newb mages only)(good), CH(to newb mages only)(Ba), and magic language (AA).*
First of I would like to give you some wood working tips. First, if you dont have a mud client other then telnet, get simple MU or ZMud (they both have good trigar systems). If your just starting ww, get a teacher. The way I learned ww is going shavings, dowel, clubs, staffs, chess pieces, fashioning pawns, rooks, knights, bishops, queens, and finnaly kings. I am on knights right now. The syntax for crafting everything up to chess pieces is just craft ** (you put the object in insted of the *'s. Exc: craft club). After you can fashion kings esially, then youve maxed out.
Craftable wood list:
shavings, dowel, clubs, staff, spoons, bowls, wooden swords, chess pieces, fashioned chess pieces, target shields, barrels, cupboards, bins, chests, chess boards, racks, chairs, rowboats, workbenches, tool cabinets, rocking chairs, tables... (Ill put more later)
Now onto sewing tips. In sewing you never NEED a teacher. They are nice, but you could do fine without them. I suggest starting out with bandannas, then to socks, armbands, cloaks, hooded cloaks, cloth shirts, cloth pants, and slippers. After that you could do robes, but it isnt needed. Now you should go to farmtown and look for bushels of flax. Change the flax to linen fiber, then change the fiber to thread. This ususaly gives lots of imps. After you stop imping on thread, go to makeing cloth. If you use different kinds of thread and cloth to make stuff you are more likely to imp.
Now for some lumbering. In lumbering you need to start out by getting about 10-30 woodaxes (they sometimes say woodsman's axe, its the same thing). Next go out to a forest hex (the green ones with the % signs) and set up an alias to lumber pine s=1. This means you want to find a tree thats size 1 (1 square foot of board) and chop it down. You wont be able to chop one down successfully for a while. The reson for all the woodaxes is because they break alot. I have never been killed by one, but my freind was. As you progress in skill move the size up. You wont be able to mill a tree into board untill about fair skill. If you going to mill a tree, dont use a saw, it takes way to long. Insted go to the barn by tobermore and use its sawmill. Most castles have sawmills too, but there locked off. Lumbering takes a lot of time and patience, but in the end, it saves a heck of alot of money.
Now for farming. For farming start out by going to farmtown and just looking at the crops. Once you stop imping from that (different skill levels depending on apt) then you can go on to weeding. Weeding will give you a good amount of imps. After weeding you can go on to harvesting or to gathering. For harvesting start with havesting 1% of the crop (harvest 1). For gathering, start out by gathering apple seeds south of Farmtown. As you get better and better at farming you can progress to higher harvesting %'s and other seeds. Harvesting wont take you all the way, so you will need to gather eventually.
Now for a little on herbalism. I suggest finding a teacher for a while, but you dont have to have one. Start out with gathering oak branches. Then up to kevala, then catnip, then up to berries and nuts. That is all i realy know so far. Ill put more up latter.
And last so far as my latest new crafting skill, construction. To do construction, go to the run down area, then go to an open lot, and just do a burst of 3 build's. Continue "botting" this for a while, it takes a while to get high skill. But if you need a teacher come see me. Thats all i know how to do, for i cant build anything yet, but oh well, i dont practice anymore.
