About Me! (Stuff you never wanted to know!)
As you can see, the About Me page has changed. I'm going to do this in a different way.
Let's see...my name is Carter (my real pen name. No, you are not allowed to address me by my real name) and I'm a 22 year old writer/artist from North Carolina. I'm the spawn of two engineers (wow!) and have no interest in engineering whatsoever! I'm the older of two kids and while my brother is a good writer too, he has no interest to perfect that craft. I've been writing since about six when I could scrawl on walls...some claimed it was my drawings but I think otherwise. Writing is very important to me. A day without writing to me is like a lifetime without water. You can live without food but you can't live without water. No, really, you can't. That's how bad this obsession is.
My favorite anime is Fullmetal Alchemist but my favorite fandom to write about is Weiss Kreuz. I used to write Digimon and Final Fantasy 7 fanfics but I kinda stopped those. I have a few Rurouni Kenshin fanfics, Clue fanfics, and few others from other fandoms. CSI looks very appealing at the moment. But Weiss Kreuz tends to be the fandom I wrote for the most.
I also write a lot of original fiction and poetry. Hence, the originals page at my website. I have been published in a few e-zines and I recently won some contests (pretty exciting! I got second flash in a children's flash fiction contest and first place in a Halloween Haiku contest recently. Yes, I'm shocked but that didn't keep me from getting the award!) I'm working on a novel now. Several, actually.
Yes, I am into yaoi. Yes, I like het. Yes, I can tolerate yuri. Yes, I don't mind hentai. As you can see, I'm pretty versatile when it comes to pairings. Most of what I write is yaoi (pertaining to fanfiction) and het (pertaining to originals). Most of my lemons tend to be yaoi. (Apparently, my het lemons seem too boring). I haven't written yuri and I don't have any intention to write it anytime soon. I have a hard time getting into the minds to two females in love with each other. That doesn't mean I won't read it, of course ^_^. I can even be coaxed into reading/writing incest, beastiality, necrophilia, etc.
Favorite characters (I'll just pick the top 10): Aya/Ran Fujimiya (Weiss Kreuz), Mimi Tachikawa (Digimon), Michiru Kaioh (Sailor Moon), Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Rock Lee (Naruto), Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop), Minako Aino (Sailor Moon), Makimachi Misao (Rurouni Kenshin), Izumi Koushiro (Digimon), and Nosferatu Alucard (Hellsing).
Non-anime favorites: Brian Griffin, Stewie Griffin (Family Guy), Gil Grissom, Catherine Willows, Greg Sanders (CSI), Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Colonel Mustard (Clue), Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, Voldemort, Severus Snape, Remus Lupin (Harry Potter), Holden Caufield (The Catcher in the Rye), Charlie, Boone, Claire, Sayid, Sawyer, Jin, Sun (Lost).
I do like original stories too! Favorite authors tend to be Stephen King, J.K. Rowlings, Flannery O'Conner, O Henry, Saki, Dylan Thomas, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost, Walt Whitman, T.S. Eliot, Sylvia Plath, Edgar Allan Poe, and a million more that I can't remember off the top of my head @_@ My favorite books ever are Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and IT by Stephen King.
The main genres I write for are horror, mystery, and supernatural stuff (for originals) and romance, angst, humor, and drama (for fanfiction). The only things I can't ever see myself writing is a western (hate that genre) and stories taking place way back in 1800s or so (I have no idea exactly what life back then would be like and I'll probably screw it up).
I don't mind people taking my stuff to archive at their sites as long as they credit me for the work. You steal from me, you face my wrath. (And I have a lot of wrath) Please don't take my OCs either. They're my spawn babies after all and I could never be seperated from my babies. Criticism is fine but blatantly ripping me apart or pointless flaming in unacceptable. Anyone who does that will be mocked (by yours truly) and have their stupidity posted up for the whole world to ogle. And make note that I will not sit back or cry if this happens. I will humiliate you to the point where you never insult anyone and you never speak to anyone without respect and honesty (and a handy spelling/grammar checker)! And do NOT insult anyone who enjoys my stories. Say whatever you want to me but turn it on someone else...oh, I will eat you up and spit your disgusting bones and crap back out. No one gets away with insulting my readers. Not today, not tomorrow, never! I swear it to you now. Mess with them, you mess with me...and you are demanding a death wish.
Aside from writing, I enjoy music. Death metal, black metal, and power metal are my personal favorite genres but occasionally I might like something outside of those. Tori Amos, Bob Dylan, and The Smashing Pumpkins are a few outside the metal genre. A few songfics are usually inspired by metal songs.
My favorite TV shows are CSI (the original only), Family Guy, Lost (a new pleasure), and The Amazing Race (a guilty pleasure reality series that I enjoy). I also enjoy Adult Swim whenever I get a chance to watch it. (I have no cable or life, I know).
