The Association of Jamaican Residents (BVI)
The Association of Jamaican Residents (BVI) was organised in November 1997, and over the years has risen to become one of the largest and most prestigious societies in the Caribbean region. AJAR(BVI), as it is also known, is dedicated to the ideals of fidelity to humanity and service.
If you are a Jamaican residing in the British Virgin Islands, you are invited to consider membership in the Association, which seeks to bring together and promote a fraternal relationship amongst all Jamaicans residing in the BVI.
We are aimed at: promoting Jamaican culture, observing Jamaican heritage and traditions, assisting our less fortunate brothers and sisters residing in the BVI, keeping each other informed of the events taking place in Jamaica and assisting in disaster relief efforts locally and internationally.
The Association’s membership committee hope you would take advantage of this unique opportunity to add to the organisation’s credentials by becoming active in a society geared to strengthen Jamaican culture, and the coming together of Jamaicans on the Island.
We look forward to having you attend our meetings at the Althea Scatliffe Primary School located in Road Town (across from the Cultural Centre) this and every last Thursday of every month at 7:25pm sharp. A warm welcome awaits you!
