AF Cargo Pelican Page - Employee News.

Welcome to our FUBU website. For Us By Us. Employees of Air France Cargo USA and anybody else who wants to stay in touch over the years. Come on in, don't be shy - you all have something to contribute. We have great editors - they'll clean up your stories and make them fan friendly, I'm sure.
Please feel at home here. This site is for us.
P/S - There really are no editors, it's only me.
No dinero in the budget for editors :-]

UPDATE NOV 2004.
Sorry to announce in Bankruptcy proceedings - lackafunds.
The site seemed like a good idea. Good luck to you.

Sad news about Joe Bebel passing away in August(Tim Kirkwood-JFK signing the guestbook)Thanks Tim. I will always remember Mr. Bebel as a gentlemen.

Dick Finnerty has touched base. Hi Dick. Glad to hear retirement is treating you well. Only 17 more years for me (give or take a buyout). YAHOO!

Rick Sanchez, former DM-JFK.FK, checking in from Washington DC. Good to hear from you Rick. How is the Pizza in Northern Virginia?

Thanks to Anne-Marie Rosaler for signing our guestbook. We do look forward to those pictures of the Loyd shrine (museum).
Good Luck to Anne-Marie who will be heading off to beautiful SFO shortly for a new assignment. Enjoy Northern California.

Recent Hurricane activity (Charley/Frances/Ivan) in Florida has provided some anxious moments. We were spared significant damage in South Florida. However, the West Coast of Florida did not do as well.
Punta Gorda, Captiva Island and parts of interior central Florida were damaged by Charley. Most recently, Ivan had a severe impact on the panhandle of Florida causing heavy damage.
Some AF retiree's are living on the west coast. Tony Guinta being one I have heard of. Through Henry Rothman (e-mail), Tony escaped Charley's wrath. Health and property remain intact.

Don't forget to send your ideas, stories and any pictures you want to share with fellow AF'ers.

Moving on......

The idea here is to provide all visitors with a hint of "what's going on" with AFC in the USA and beyond perhaps. We'll post news about retired and active employees. Share news about us, stories we remember, events we lived and basically keep the relationships alive. I believe our collective experience throughout the years is too valuable to forget. This website was an idea of mine after a recent visit (back) to JFK where I heard many stories about our present and retired colleagues. Some were upbeat, some were sad. Mostly I heard, "I didn't know that". I hope you will join me and contribute to this idea. Together we can provide a source for information, expression, fun and when all else fails, a good story or two.
If this brings us together in some way, I think that would be great.
I believe there is good spirit among us. Something we can share with active, retired and former employees alike.

Over the years, some of us have moved from station to station. As for myself since starting as a part timer in JFK then on to LAX. Back to JFK and now MIA for the past 12 years or so. I have had fond experiences with many of you. This site is for all of us. From LAX to BOS and everywhere in-between. From Henry Rothman in New Mexico to JV in the woods of Washington State. Now if that's not accurate, hopefully this site will help correct the record!
Let us know how you are doing.
We've spent too many years together and shared in so many events. To let them fade away and not do something about it, in my opinion, would be a shame. I'll do my best to start the idea. With your help, I am confident we will all share in a good laugh and perhaps a tear every now and again.
Rather than say "I didn't know" we can say,
"ah yes, I remember it well".
