Adventure Racing is a fast growing sport where individuals or teams attempt to complete a series of demanding outdoor activities, usually including climbing, canoeing, mountain biking, fell running and orienteering...And hey - I know this webpage looks a bit dire - please try one of the links below for some decent websites. This requires competitors to have a great degree of navigational experience and a good level of fitness and stamina. In the UK, events range from single day events, such as the Hi-Tec race series, to much longer challenges including the Western Isles Challenge and Helly Hansen Yacht Race.

OK, so here is a picture of us mountain biking on last years Ace Race in the Coniston area of the Lakes. This was the western approach to the 'Walna Scar Road'. Don't be fooled by the name, but then 'Walna Scar Track From Hell' doesn't have the same appeal....
