This website is dedicated to all my friends and family who mean so very much to me. I will not blow away on the wisps of the wind. Oh no, I wish to share my life with you all, and the beauty of the medicine of Gaia, which I will fondly deliver to you through these dedicated pages.
Before any of you begin to wonder about my "son out of wedlock," be not afraid! For this is not my child... Elijah was on loan from my good friend Shelby (thank you Shelby) and she took this photo of he and I on the banks of the Skykomish River, which has offered me solitude over the years. This photo feels much like my current state of being, a touch of sadness and melancholy mixed with the thrill and hope of new beginnings. I will leave Seattle on Sunday, September 8 after five years.
Vanuatu ---
Three midwifery friends await on the isle known for vine jumping and kava. Kava! The stuff of sedative repore in the west and ceremonial status in the Pacific. I wish to know this herb. I am eager to try the kava bars instead of the smoky bars. I wish to also experience the joy of birth (not mine, mind you) at the hospital where my friends gather experience as midwives.
New Zealand ---
This place will follow my Vanuatu adventures. I am drawn there by my heart's unknown pull. Is it for the medicine? I know also of my heart's desire to dip a paddle blade into the icy spring runoffs of the South Island rivers. Paddling has changed my relationship to water forever, and New Zealand is renowned for its waters. The rest... to come.
