How-To Lobby Gov't

This is a site to pass on some of my knowledge about lobbying at a federal level in Australia. It's a lot about working to change things through institutions, and how those institutions actually work.
It's an insider's view. While I've been a politcal ratbag for decades, I acually worked in the Senate for 5 years. At this point I can talk fairly authoratitvely about how those in Parliament see things, what they respond to, and what works.
The reason I'm doing this is that some of my friends have become interested, motivated, even passionate about different issues. I wanted to give them some advice, and wanted it to be more permanetly accessible to them. I thought it might also interest others. That's why I'm doing this.
I hope you'll enjoy. It's important to make changes in the world. Remember not to feel overwhelmed. Yes, the world is big, and none of us are individually that powerful. Still, we're much more powerful than we generally realise, and more powerful than we normally step up to. So, decide on something you'd like to see change, and work on it.
If everyone worked on something, even if each thing is small, there's be a lot more change than there is.
