A LOCALS GUIDE TO ACADIA NATIONAL PARK
![]()
With this blog I will attempt to show a side of Acadia National Park not found in most other articles on the park. I will have a page talking about the park itself, a page covering the LOST ACADIA and how the visitor of today can still find those sections of the park that have been discontinued - such as some of the old abandoned trails and where they lead, I will also have a page on the poetry of Acadia - poems that I have written over the years that have been influenced by the Park and the island itself.
I will include photos and videos that I have taken as well, to give you a real sense of what it is like here.
Okay, in the links at the bottom of the page, there is a link for THE BIKE JAM. The footage for this begins behind the Bar Harbor Shop and Save and continues out across the front parking lot and down Cottage street where it ends at the intersection of Main Street. This was shot this spring, and it should be noted, by the empty parking stalls, the tourist season was not under way at the time of filming.
