ABOUT L. CLIFFORD CHENEY (author of "The Economics & Finance of Jesus Christ"):
L. CLIFFORD CHENEY (Christian name LeRoy - nickname Lee) was born in Illinois in 1937, was baptized as an infant in the Methodist church in Illinois, grew up in the Lutheran and Presbyterian churches in California and New Mexico, became a Roman Catholic by marriage and adult baptism in England, and is now retired living in Hobbs, New Mexico. He graduated from San Diego State College (California) in 1963 with a major in psychology. After completing the bank management training program at Security Bank in California and doing extensive research at the graduate level at San Diego State College in economics, finance, psychology, and religion he attended the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. He then went to work for the Saskatchewan (Canada) government in their Department of Northern Saskatchewan (DNS) as a Senior Industry & Commerce Consultant and Senior Co-op Development Advisor and then as a Senior Research Advisor for the DNS Department of Policy and Planning where he was appointed chairman of the DNS Financial Services Development Committee which was mandated by the Saskatchewan government to create a computerized 8 branch interest free credit union for the people of Northern Saskatchewan. Lee Cheney was a member of the Economic Research Council (London) from 1980 to 2007.
