Picturesquely situated on the A82 nestling in the Great Glen, between Invergarry and Loch Ness with fantastic views over the Glen. It's ideal for climbers, walkers as Mullach A'Ghlinne (528m) is behind and the Great Glen Way cycle/walking track is 1/2 mile away, fishing, deer stalking, etc., in season.
LUNDIE VIEW LODGE-
Fully central heated, it has seven tastefully decorated and furnished en-suite rooms, family rooms with private bathroom. Each room has colour Teletex TV,hospitality tray & hairdryer. Spend a cosy evening in the resident’s lounge complete with wood burning stove, TV and music centre,videos, book and games,help yourself to a complimentary coffee in the evenings.[all own entrance key].
A SELF CATERING APARTMENT [own entrance] sleeping up to 6 with lounge, kitchen, dining room and full bathroom, laundry room, ironing, etc.
For our visitors’ convenience, there is a pay-phone, a drying room for clothes and shoes.
A CHALET sleeping up to 8 with twin, double and double bunk rooms and a double bed settee in the lounge. Kitchen/diner and bathroom.
A dog kennel [on request] please keep dogs on leaches and ample private parking for cars, garage for bikes, etc.
ALL MEALS are served in -
THE THISTLE STOP RESTAURANT, TEAROOM & GIFT SHOP including ALL DAY BREAKFAST & DAILY SPECIALS [see board for details] home-made cakes, biscuits, scones and freshly prepared hot or cold snacks and drinks, to eat in or take away.
EVENING MEALS AND PACKED LUNCHES BY ARRANGEMENT.
Feel free to relax on our all weather veranda and enjoy the lovely landscape of the Great Glen and beyond towards Lundie. You may be lucky and see the resident woodpecker or cuckoo, soaring buzzards or even Vera the vole, just a few of our many wildlife creatures.
Browse round our unusual integrated gift shop which has everything from full skin chamois leathers, jewellery, beautiful leather handbags purses and wallets, Scottish bone china, glassware, to souvenir thimbles, honey and fudges. There's a kiddie’s educational corner where we sell books and games to make the journey easier for the junior holiday maker. Nor have we forgotten dad or the boys with an extensive range of men’s stuff!!
