WHICH DINOSAURS WERE FOUND FIRST?

Q.When were the first Dinosaurs found?

A.In 1822 a scientist named Gideon Mantell found the teeth of an iguanadon, but in 1824 William Buckland found some bones which he called megalosaurus.

Q.Wo gave Dinosaurs there names?

A.A man named Richard Owen did in 1842. The name dinosaur means 'TERRIBLE LIZARD'.

Q.When was the first complete Skeleton found?

A.In 1878 almost 40 Skeletons of Iguanadon were found in a coal mine in Belgium.

Q.Why didn't anyone find them before?

A.Know a days we know they are from Dinosaurs but then they didn't konow they belonged to huged extinct reptiles. One giant bone was thought to be from a giant man.

WHAT DID DINOSAURS LOOK LIKE?

Q.What is the biggest & smallest Dinosaur?

A.The smallest is thought to be Compsognathus. When it's an adult it is 70cm long and most if this is it's tail. The largest Skeleton known is Brachiosaurus 12 metres tall & 23 metres long weighing 70 tonnes this is so far the largest, bu at the moment scientists are finding bones of a much bigger Dinosaur Seismasaurus this would be the biggest animal ever to have lived.

Q.Were Dinosaurs fat or thin?

A.It is difficult to tell as we only find bones an fossils &no flesh.
