the Songs of the Wolves

SONGS OF THE WOLVES
"Wolfsong"
He lifts his head,
And sings his song.
Long and sad,
Calling out.
Long and lonely,
Singing of sorrow.
The call soars,
Only to echo into nothingness.
Where are you?-
He asks.
Where is my pack?-
He cries.
He sings his song,
All alone.
"She-Wolf's Song"
She looks over the valley,
And lifts her head to the moon.
Her song rings clear,
I am here, come.
She calls again,
And listens to it echo.
Accross the valey,
And through the hills.
And it sings,
I am here, come.
And she waits,
Hopeing for another song,
To ring in responce.
"Packsong"
His ears perck up,
He raises his head.
And sings again,
I will come!
She looks up,
And sings again.
This way,
I am here.
Follow my song,
Come!
And then they meet,
And sing together.
Two now one,
A pack.
"Cubsong"
Up into the sun,
For the first time.
The bright sun hurts,
Young cannine eyes.
Then Father wolf comes,
And greets the young.
With Mother wolf standing,
Beside him and sings.
The eldest lifts her head,
And sings her first song.
Then Father lifts his head in song,
This is my cub, he sings.
And the cub sings on,
Singing the Cubsong.
