Cold-hearted and empty minded,
I can't help thinking of my life unwinding.
What it means and why I am here --
the clock seems to tick a little faster.

Time itself cannot be stopped, or even paused
and yet we continue to impress ourselves by trying.
You might say avoiding the inevitable is stupidity.
If there is no-one here to keep time,
does it exist?
If there is no-one here to count the seconds,
how do we know how long it has been?

We seem to exist for a reason
and yet no one truly knows why.
To find ourselves - seems pointless
To find our otherself - seems impossible when we can't find ourselves.

A billion world's exist,
and ours is a mere one.
A small pebble being kicked around,
surrounded by everything and yet existing as if it were nothing.
Infinite possibilities and endless choices.
In reality, we all exist within our own world,
our mind.

Who is to say what is right and what is wrong?
except of course ourselves.
I am not denying that I am happy,
because I am.
And yet it amazes me how some people can continue living
when they know they are not.

It seems happiness is the key to life,
and life the key to happiness.
But life is only a game,
a game to be played by each and every one of us in turn.
We all have a will inside us that tells us to keep on living no matter what happens,
it cannot be understood and was therefore never meant to be anaylsed.
It exists and that's all that matters.

In the end all I can say is 'smile' : )
even if it is at the smallest thing.
"the sun rose today", "I’m alive", "I have a life"
and I plan on living it...

A night of darkness
and yet a night that brings with it complete light.
I understand,
I accept,
I believe.
I know now what it is to live,
what it is to laugh, to smile and to cry.
It is everything.

We all search for the meaning behind life,
and now I can quite happily say it is found.
We look for something to believe in,
a superficial hope that keeps us living,
keeps us breathing, keeps us here...

Everyday everyone seeks reason, asks - “why?”
and everyday the answer still remains - “because.”
Be happy with the moment you are given,
live it, love it and treasure it.
Because that’s all there is,
all there ever was,
all that exists,
and all there is to live for.

Be content with what you are given.
Be happy because you are loved,
and love to make others happy.
Learn and give,
but never question your presence, your reason.

Don’t change because you are who you are,
let yourself be influenced by others
and live to make an impression on their lives.
Love, because it’s worth it.
Smile, because you have it.

You are everything,
as small and insignificant as ever,
you hold the world in your hands.
Make decisions and make choices,
but remember it is your own life,
so... just live it.

Live for a moment that makes you smile.
Live for a laugh.
Live for a touch.
Live for a tear.
Simply,
Live because you have been graced with life.
