cs277/8 The big-bang expansionist scenario [whether steady state or catastrophist] is not the best data fit:
[a] To explain red shift anomalies in ‘distant’ quasars [ 'Red' shift does not apply to the colour of the object. It means that each spectral line is at a longer wavelength than when the object is at rest] it proposes:
[i]galactic nuclei collapsing into exotic entities called black holes [If you read carefully, you'll see that there is still no proof of Black Holes, merely theoretical contortions now collapsing in on themselves.].
[ii] exotic mechanisms like supernova chain reactions
Other mechanisms yielding a systematic red shift are more appropriate [cs29]. [These mechanisms have to be quantified. A 'paradigm shift' will help!]. One is that ordinary spherical galaxies evolve CHEMICALLY into discs/halos.
[b] The conventional scenario proposes that density waves from black holes/nuclei compress a proportion of hot gas into cold gas which then condenses into spiral arms [pmc53- Comets are produced from the 'solar nebula', a cloud of material associated with the youthful sun]. These in turn coalesce into stars, then isolated solar systems with primordial and fading unreplenished cometary clouds. stars [and smaller bodies]. However in addition to p1 1&II:
Matter distribution is lumpy/clustered with more mass than:
[i] the singular big bang - steady state could have produced.
[ii] that needed for condensation of galaxies.
This means citing multiple big bangs!
It can’t account for non-circular galactic motions.
Frequent catastrophism provides a less cumbersome explanation than the idea that spiral arm transits put material between earth and sun, causing major ice ages every 100m years or so.
ASTEROIDS ARE SEEN AS A COLLECTION OF REMNANTS FROM THE PRIMORDIAL FLAT SOLAR NEBULA. THIS CAN’T EXPLAIN:
[I] ECCENTRIC ASTEROIDS, ESPECIALLY APOLLOS
[II] WHY SOME BODIES ARE PART COMET, PART ASTEROID [I.E. ENCKE] IN BEHAVIOUR.
what’s the difference between a comet and an asteroid?CW153 Latter is an inactive comet. It becomes active when its icy interior is exposed.
The results of meteorite mineralogy are interpreted as proof that they come from particular main-belt asteroids. The latter are in turn condensations from a hot primordial solar nebula.
However, a change in emphasis when interpreting meteorite mineralogy indicates origins in a much wider range of conditions than that possible in a narrow strip of hot solar nebula. Many types formed at a much lower temperature in collisions amongst interplanetary boulder cloud remnants of the primordial globule
Cosmological Paradigm incorporating Frequent Catastrophism
Every 100m, in short active episodes, there are ejections of compressed state quasars from galactic nuclei [not black holes]. Evidence for these intermittent large scale galactic expansions from nuclei should arise from probing the observed state of spiral arms through earth's history. Density waves will prove to have a different history and state to ejected spiral arms.
The ejections produce very cold material. A proportion warms [conventional scenario has relatively cold material produced by density waves cooling further ]and forms the clouds of spiral arms. Observed spiral arms have dust, young stars, huge cold gas clouds with inorganic and organic interstellar molecules.
Solar Systems are born in and made up from warming spiral arm material. They are essentially fragmenting-accreting aggregates of planetesimals forming from cometary globules [cold dusty objects of solar mass or greater in spiral arms.].
They then capture interstellar comets and other material sporadically and at different rates from spiral arms [ take into account density of arm] , replenishing their continually dispersing [inwards and outwards] 'Oort’ cometary cloud.[no positive proof for cloud! Encyc. Not generally accepted till 1950s CW133] Not certain how many spiral arms/spurs,2/4?, at present solar system is in edge of Orion spur, which lies between Sagittarius & Perseus Arms[Cosmos?]. Is it heading into galactic centre or out?]
CW216 Sun is halfway in orbital height = cancelling out of cosmic tides = a cosmically brief calm catastrophic period, similar to the longer 'tail end' period between spiral arm immersions. 15m highish as sun at peak height.
The journey through Gould's Belt ended 10,000 years ago [Countdown 54], a twinkling in cosmic time. It passed through Gould's belt 10-20m? These 100 light year molecular cloud 2000 light years across CW144 134
The 'Interactive' scenario also explains smaller bodies having the same mass distribution as larger captures [rings of Saturn, Jupiter, Mars' inner Moon] and, predominantly, direct orbits [captured bodies with retrograde orbits have shorter lifetimes.]
Frequent catastrophism gives a specific ratio/abundance of magnesium isotopes. This ratio depends on a sequence of stellar nucleosynthetic events, including the timing of nearby supernova explosions. [Isotopes have the same proton number, but differing neutron numbers.] [see Sagan]
Quantitative proof of the 'interactive' scenario will lie in measured isotope ratios in relation to the ages and chemical composition on Halley’s Comet, Phobos etc. Other sources are recent deposits of cometary material on ocean beds & lunar surface.
CW267 Cosmic dust lingers, whereas nuclear dust would go relatively quickly.
CW268-72 Body had same composition of exotic chemistry as cometary dust 19700-10000 years old analysed Greenland 1983 This dust, [from large comet whose debris, including Encke, still orbits today] falling at up to 60 times faster than now, caused last ice age.
CW 287 L Kresak - reconstructs ‘Tunguska’ orbit from sights and suggests its a Taurid. B Levin & V Bronshten agree.

CW276 Effects of a big fireball pulse will glaze rocks and give shadow effects. These aren’t attributable to straw-burning invaders! Strata will have a thin layer of soot.
cw255 Earth and lunar cratering rates roughly agree. The last 20 years, accurate small bodies count = 10-100 times higher than that based on average rate.
CW230 Great Lava outpours on earth every 400m, opening & closing of ocean basins every 500m. In this time at least one 25-30k dia impactor. Regular impact rates with 50-100m surges.

CW150-2 = debris from sudden or sequential breaking up of an extremely large object 20-30k [ asteroids have not had time to spread in inner area as a stream]. Also, zodiacal light last no more than 20kish.

Elliptic sun orbiters [orbits slowly evolve due to Saturn & Jupiter]. Orbit size and shape hardly changes, but orientation in space does:
[i] inclination oscillates to Solar system mean plane
[ii] Long axis orientations in earth's orbital plane are bunched, not random.
7500 BC = Encke should be gone by 2500 BC!
To scale, our atmosphere is merely a condensation of breath. Yet without it, we could be hit 20 times more than the Moon.

A gold pale or disc was affixed to the Eastern or Sun Gate. The sun's rays fell through it and all the eastern gates arranged in line into the heart of the Temple. The eastern gate was kept closed during the year, but was opened on these 2 days for this purpose. The Solstices [ summer sun rises NE, winter SE] were also checked, with much difficulty, by a ray reflecting device on the Gate.
The Eastern Gate was no longer correctly oriented after the displacement of the cardinal points due to the changes in terrestrial rotation.
