When Mr. Monti was six months old, he was napping in his crib in his upstairs bedroom in Hingham Massachusetts. A bolt of lightning ripped through the roof and struck him. The crib was severed in half.
Baby boy Monti lay dead in the crib on the floor. His older sister heard the crash of the crib, and came running to his aid. Picking baby boy Monti up she saw no signs of life. She raced to the telephone and called the police and fire department.
Within a half hour later the firemen had brought Monti back to life.

Four years later young John Monti for some reason started to throw stones at the next door neighbor, every time the neighbor drove his car into his own driveway. When the neighbor finally approched John's Mother and told her. Mrs. Monti could not understand why her son would do such a thing. The neighbor explained that her son also snarled out "You hurt people,you cut them". After a scolding from Mrs. Monti in front of the next door neighbor. The neighbor said "I've been a Doctor for many years". "How did a four year old boy know that". He doesn't realize that I heal people.

Note: Later in life John Monti become very close with many Doctors.
