SKILLICORN - KUMAR ORGANISATION - ORPHANAGE

CONTINUED FROM THIS PREVIOUS SITE

After few months, everything was quite positive to me. Gradually, I mixed with the children and participated with all works. They were loving me and myself was loving them. Myself was not confined to the children of the Orphanage but also with the Staff and Management. I followed all elders respectfully and they all loved me truely . Due to the reason of adjustment, there was no difference between me and others . All were living and utilising time properly, in a positive way, to grow up and develop in different fields. Gradually, I began to develop in uncomparable speed. I never liked to lose this scope of reading, writing and learning. Happily and pleasantly, I was doing my daily works in a most satisfactory way. Besides all works, for my sound and rapid educational achievement, I was given chance to be engaged outside of the Orphanage like biscuit factory, match factory and medical halls. I was learning and earning to meet my extra expenditure connected to my speedy progress.

After completing my studies, I decided to leave Bareilly and again, for some time, I found myself at four cross roads. After one month, I got engagement in a school and served there for about ten months and learned there about School Management - how to run a school and develop it to the best interest of the students. I got much experience there in that school. Meanwhile, I got appointment letter from a sugar factory where I worked for more than one and half years. My selection and choice were different. I was of social reformation out-look by nature as I had been struggling through both, physically and psychologically. Hinderances, obstacles and problems were part and parcel of my life. I recognised struggles as my closest friends, hinderances became inspirators and obstacles played role as sympathisers. I left government service and came to Chotanagpur, Bihar for my best utilisation in the interest of the down-trodden, parentless orphan children and poverty-stricken people of this land. The time had already come to do something connected to my aim and main purpose in life.

Facing struggle, hindrances and economic crisis, with only a few hundred rupees, I started a school at Ghaghra, in Gumla District of Bihar Province in India, obtaining a tiled village house on rent. To time of writing this, I still am in Ghaghra. Day by day the school began to develop due to my missionary zeal and accelerated speed in action.. Day and night myself was busy only in educational purpose. During this period, I got opportunity to meet a gentleman of Madhya Pradesh (India) , named Sri Sushil Kumar Kachhap. He made a proposal of my marriage which I accepted. I married his daughter who was educated and employed in Government school. So my wife, Soshan Sughandha Kachhap participated in my works of education like anything, since marriage on 1st. April 1986.

Soshan was very much interested in constructive educational affairs and the school was now in better position. Further, I decided to start an Orphanage attached to my school. My wife's contribution towards it was also great. I started Orphanage cum School for the distant, needy children but, due to insufficient accommodation, limited children were benefited. I liked to develop it but house-owner played negative role in this regard and denied the extension which was a great problem for me. I began to think always about future children of the school and orphanage cum hostel . After one year, a little female flower came into our married life. We gave her name Survi and in her name a lottery ticket was purchased and she won a motor car as prize. In place of motor I preferred to take money and with that money I constructed a building for orphans and needy adivasi (aboriginal) children. Now we could get sufficient accommodation for living and studying in this building. Orphans' Residential School was inaugurated by Sri Mehar Chand Survarno (I.A.S.), the regional Development Commissioner , Govt. of Bihar on 17th. April 1990. Thus, a great contribution of my daughter is also there in this NETAJI MEMORIAL ORPHANS' RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL, Ghaghra. It is now developing day by day.

Meanwhile Ratu Maharaja Sri Lal Prasanna Nath Sahdeo and Yuvraj Sri Lal Vijay Nath Shahdeo donated land of about one acre in the heart of Ghaghra, Gumla District, Bihar. It has become most appreciable contribution towards the down-trodden adivasi children and orphans. Now the school, along with hostel is in real developing stage.

Advancement has no end. Needs are unlimited of an individual whereas this is connected to so many. All must get scope to march ahead with all-round development in the interest of the nation and the world. I am with hope that these neglected, hopeless children will embrace entire humanity and will help thousands and lakhs in due course and create a new generation with new hope, spirit, true love, peace etc.. A man has not come into this world for himself alone, but for others who are like him. Taking this mind in view and action I have been going on like a traveller on the road of spirituality, without seeking its result but always after the Peace of entire humanity. I am nothing but only a medium of the Supreme Father. I am serving under his Blessedness and co-operation of the mediators of the Lord. Let us join for the noble task and contribution, dedicated in the interest of the Kingdom of God.

Yours Sincerely,

PREM PRAKASH

Since Prem Prakash wrote this Testimony, he has gained a educational Degree and become the Principal of the institution at Ghaghra which shines as a Bright Beacon in a dark environment. Coincidently, Prem Prakash's wife Soshan is known to us personally, and her father, Sri Sushil Kumar Kachhap, was our right-hand colleague in the leprosy work we conducted near to Ghaghra. Both Sushil and his sister Mohini (the girl who fell down the well) feature in our autobiographical book - "AN IMPOSSIBLE DREAM". So long as we have people like Prem Prakash and Soshan in the world, we are not without Hope. Life for Prem Prakash is still not easy because his area of Bihar can never boast of having an abundance of this world's resources. His and Soshan's many orphan children will appreciate anything you can offer to help them purchase books, clothing, medicines - you name it. Thanks for taking the time to read this most inspiring story of a person who, against overwhelming odds - MADE IT ! Truly, he and Soshan have found "THE SECRET OF LIFE" in that they have not lived for themselves, but always for others and, in particular, those less fortunate than themselves. In April 1998, I had the privilege of meeting Prem Prakash and Soshan in Ranchi, Bihar.
