Isis: Isis is the goddess par excellence of Egyptian magic in all forms.One story relates how she treated a boy stung by a scorpion, withmagical powers she gained from the Sun God, Ra. She is the epitome ofthe ideal wife and mother, courageous, devoted and resourceful. Sheis the most popular of Egyptian gods. Her symbol, the buckle, is apowerful shield when you say: The blood of Isis, the incantations of Isis, the power of Isis, are represented by this buckle and protectme from all evil.
Obtain a doll that is mummy-shaped or a figurine of Egyptian style (but not a god or goddess of ancient Egypt) and place it on a table, lighting a candle (white for the spiritual plane or green for the ream of Osiris, the tod of the dead and the spiritual world, and of the material plane as well). Your spell for summoning the spirit of your ushabti doll will demand that you write down exactly what you want your familiar spirit to do for and with you. You will need to repeat this each time your goals change. This is the petition you will recite to attract the ancient Egyptian spirit:
"O spirit of the ushabti, come forth from the realm of Osiris into the land of the living, as do the spirits of the deceased each day, to journey about and partake of the pleasures of life without labor or sorrow. Do you, spitit of the ushabti, perform the work I demand of you, and allow no barriers or obstacles to stand in my way. In turn, your aid to me will not be forgotten, and you will continue to grow and strengthen on the spiritual plane."

Urt-Hekau is one of several gods/goddesses associated with the power of magic (Thoth is the god of words of wisdom, source of alchemy and other occult arts; and Isis is a major goddess of magic, particularly healing.)
Urt-Hekau, however, best represents the power of both the upper and lower kingdom. The cobra represents the royalty of Egypt, the chilrden of the Egyptian gods themselves. One cobra represents the South, and one the North.
Urt-Hekau means literally "Words of Power, and she is represented as a woman with the head of a cobra holding a papyrus scepter.

Let us begin with an introduction from The Laws of Scientific Hand-Reading by William G. Benhan, which explains our use of gemstones to attract the kind of spiritual energy we are seeking.
"There is no doubt that we are surrounded ... by an atmosphere ... charged with some imponderable force ... if not actually electricity ... very like it in action and results....It is by the concentration of this force that the Life Current is formed, whichis a connecting link between the human being and the Unknown...The finger of Jupiter (forefinger) is the attractor, which ... draws together the diffused force surrounding us and concentrates it into a steadily flowing Current...this Current is flowing steadily into us through the finger of Jupiter, reaching first the Heart Line and setting in motion the circulation, passing next to the Head Line and awakening the mind; and when circulation and mind start to operate, life begins, so this Current passes on to the Life Line and courses through it."
The Current of Life Force passes through the lifeline, on to the various mounts of the hand, ending at the Saturn finger, which is next to the Jupiter finger. It is the flow of this force that is encouraged to focus on one part of the palm or another, to stimulate action in that area of the personality and life situation. The flow of the energy is through the Jupiter (fore) finger, to the head line, to the lifeline and the Mount of Venus, across near the wrist to the Mount of the Moon, up to the Mount of Mars, and to the Mercury and Apollo fingers, and the heart line, to the finger os Saturn whence the force emerges. Take a look at the palm in any Palmistry book and you will see where the flow runs.
Gemstones have different properties and are best used by touching and holding them. It's only a step to applying certain gemstones to certain areas of the palm to get the most benefit from the gemstones. For exammple, if you wish to use the Crystal for Intuition or creative ideas, simply move the crystal along from the tip of the Jupiter finger along the path mentioned above to the Mountof the Moon. Take the gemstone in your left hand and move it along on the right palm (revers if you are left-handed), remembering that all changes are marked on the right or active hand (if left-handed, the active is the left hand). Now let us proceed to the use of gemstones on the mounts and lines.
Turquoise is associated with the sign Sagittarius and thus with Jupiter and by extension the Mount of Jupiter on the hand, denoting Luck, both in gambling and life in general. Aventurine is also a luck stone and brings money and good fortune. Citrine is another Jupiter stone. Simply visualize luck, or wealth, or good fortune in life while holding one of these stones on the Jupier mount. The bloodstone held on the Jupiter mount brings Business Success.
The Bloodstone is asociated with the mount of Mars, and held her brings inner strength, fortitude, initiative and daring.
The Life Line has no stone associated with it, but the Fossil held on this line stimulates Longevity. Amethyst here will promote Healing. Fossil combined with the Crystal on the Moon mount may bring visions of past lives. Other Healing stones that can be used on the Life line are the Agate, Carnelian, Crystal and Turquoise.
The Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Lapis Lazuli and Turquoise on the Mount of Venus stimulate universal love and peace; while any of these with the crystal on the Moon Mount stimulates creativity in the arts and music.
The Moonstone is associated with the Moon mount, as is the Crystal, stimulating intuition and imagination. The Aquamarine is also associated with this mount.
The Tiger's Eye on the mount of Mercury stimulates all mental powers. The Tiger's Eye enables a person to learn more easily and reason well when placed on the Head line. The Sardonyx on the Mount of Mercury increases income from Mercurial occupations such as sales and advertising, writing and speaking. The Carnelian here brings eloquence.
The Carnelian promotes success on the Mount of Apollo, related to the Sun, and the Chrysolite and Peridot promote healing and prophetic abilities. The Sardonyz here brings success in general.
Onyx is the stone of the Mount of Saturn, and brings Protection. The Agate here favors the gardener and farmer, and is also protective.
