For those of you who don't know where Donner Lake is, we are just off Interstate 80, in Truckee, California--35 miles West of Reno, Nevada and 18 miles North of Tahoe City at the north-west end of Lake Tahoe (Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Tahoe Donner, Boreal, Sugar Bowl and Donner Ski Ranch ski areas are all within 30 minutes of us).
Donner Lake is just under 3 miles long, 3/4 miles wide, 228' deep and will get up to 72 degrees during Summer. Fishing; sailing and waterskiing are enjoyed here. Camping is available at the Donner Memorial State Park at the East end of the Lake, which also has the Museum.
The Truckee Tahoe Airport (TRK) is one of the finest General Aviation airports in the Sierra Nevada and is only about 8 miles from us.
Donner Lake offers convenience because we are in the CENTER of some of the best the Sierra Nevada has to offer, yet we have easy Freeway access.
