Obit look-up (Michigan City)(known dates or indexed dates) -$5.00
Obit look-up - unknown date, La Porte or Michigan City -$10.00/hr. if not indexed. This is for a day-by-day search of the obits.

Census work
Indexed (or soundexed) census records for Indiana that are found at La Porte Co. Library $2.00
Searching census records -$10.00/hr.

Cemetery Photos
I will do cemetery photos, but since this requires a lot of legwork, I charge $10.00/hr. plus the cost of film and development.

For travel outside of La Porte County. I charge $10.00/hr. to travel.

I believe these rates are fair. Some of the requests I get are fairly simple and require little effort, but others are quite extensive and in order to have the time to devote to helping people answer their Indiana questions, I have to charge for the time-consuming look-ups.

I have a database of people who have requested my help over the last year. I will try to put you in touch with other researchers if possible.
