Stargate is officially dead

The Science Fiction Channel, recently dubbed "SyFy" has killed the Stargate program.
The latest insult to their loyal viewers is Stargate Universe, a plotless disaster with the same soap opera feel Battlestar Galactica received during it's painful demise.
The lack of any real connection with previous Stargate episodes and the extreme changes to the writing/directing style of this program creates a shock to the senses. The religious overtones are also hard to connect.
I pity those who cared about the show itself, but particularly those who suffered for the obvious economy of this incredibly poor rendition.
Let's hope the folks who made the Stargate program a success for so many episodes, are satisfied with the fate of their project.
The longtime viewer's clearly are not.
