HISTORY
15th Essendon Sea Scouts was officially registered on the 1st June, 1956. The group was formed by senior Scouts (now called Venturers) of the old 5th Essendon Group, who wanted to participate in more water activities, as they were sited directly on the Maribyrnong river.
The Group built and held their meetings in a Nissen Hut at Fairbairn Park, Ascot Vale. A larger hall was added in 1973. The Nissen Hut continues to be used today for boat storage.
