We welcome inquiries from AFIP Radiology Residents and their families, who are attending the Armed Forces Institue of Pathology (AFIP) four-week Radiologic Pathology Course.
The "Cottage in Silver Spring" is no longer available for short term rental. We continue to expand our housing services for AFIP residents seeking a quiet study environment for AFIP coursework.

Historic Home
The is an impressive beautiful historic home with lovely grounds in Takoma Park, an easy 20-minute walk to Walter Reed - 1.3 miles. It formerly belonged to one of the leading housing preservation activists in the Washington area.
The AFIP premises include a third-floor, air conditioned suite, occupied by 2 or 3 residents. The suite has two bedrooms, with shared private bath. One room is furnished with two single beds; the other with a double bed. The bedrooms are appointed with comfortable, modern furniture. There is a desk in each room. When you arrive, you will find your accommodations are very clean, attractive, and �hotel ready.�
The pleasant, bright and airy, third floor sitting area contains a kitchenette with sink, compact refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine, and toaster. Dishes, glasses, and silverware are supplied. The large windows give it a light, airy feel. The area is furnished with a table and chairs, TV, and futon.
High speed Internet and wireless are available, and you are welcome to use your laptops in your third-floor sitting area or in any of the common living areas of the home, including the spacious, wrap-around front porch.
