Suggestions For Christian Growth

Spiritual growth results from trusting Jesus Christ. "The righteous man shall live by faith" (Galatians 3:11). A life of faith will enable you to trust God increasingly with every detail of your life, and to practice the following:
G Go to God in prayer daily (John 15:7).
R Read God's Word daily (Acts 17:11) - begin with the Gospel of John.
O Obey God moment by moment (John 14:21).
W Witness for Christ by your life and words (Matthew 4:19; John 15:8).
T Trust God for every detail of your life (1 Peter 5:7).
H Holy Spirit - Allow Him to control and empower your daily life and witness (Galatians 5:16,17; Acts 1:8).

Put On The Full Armor Of God

When Jesus did battle with Satan, He said,
"It is written..."His weapon was His Father's Word."
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
God has provided armor for our protection.
Will you choose to use it?

"Girdle of Truth"

"Lord, by faith, I'm putting on the girdle of truth. I affirm today, Father, the truth of who I am: I am a child of God; I am a saint; I am indwelt by the Holy Spirit. You're my God; Christ is my life; the Holy Spirit is my helper and He is my guide today. I know the truth about who I am. I choose to speak the truth today. I choose to walk in the truth and because I am who I am, sin has no part in my life. I put on the girdle of truth. I will speak the truth; I will think the truth; I will walk in the truth today. I know the truth about who I am, Lord, and who You are."

Breastplate of Righteousness:
Father, in Jesus' name, I put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect my emotions today, my heart. Father, protect me from responding to situations and circumstances emotionally without, first of all, thinking and remembering the truth of who I am, who You are, what fits in my life and what does not fit. So I want to thank you, Father, as I put on the breastplate of righteousness today to protect me emotionally."

Sandals of the Gospel of Peace:
Lord, I want to thank You that as I put on the sandals of the gospel of peace, Lord, today wherever You lead me, I want to be a peacemaker through the gospel. To those who have never trusted Jesus Christ, I want You to use me to help them to make peace with God. Wherever You send me today, Lord, and there is conflict, let my presence there be a source of peace and a cause for peace. Thank you, Father, as I put on my sandals and I tie them today that my life is going to mean peace. It's going to bring peace wherever I go, because I'm going carrying forth the gospel of Jesus Christ."

Shield of Faith:
Father, in Jesus' name, I pick up the shield of faith that by placing my trust in You today, Lord, I'm trusting You to protect me mentally (my head), emotionally (my heart), and physically (my total being). I'm walking under Your divine protection that when Satan shoots all of his fiery arrows, his missiles of temptation at me, I'm under Your divine protection. I take my position behind the shield of faith for Your protection of me today. Lord, I'm trusting You to protect me."

Helmet of Salvation:
"Father, today, in Jesus' name, I put on the helmet of salvation to protect my mind. Father, protect and guide my thinking. Lord, if You see Satan sending something my way that I should not think, I want to just claim by faith that the helmet of salvation will protect my thinking. Father, by faith, I place over my mind today the helmet of salvation to protect my thinking so that I think the way You think."

Sword of the Spirit:
"I take up the sword of the Spirit. Now the sword of the Spirit is that sharp, two-edged weapon. Lord, I take it up today, in Jesus' name, to protect me and to fight offensively, sharing the gospel, the Word of God."

RESTORATION  OF  THE SACRED NAME

The Restoration  thereof is flooding the world - You can share in it also!
Why were The Sacred Names removed from the Scriptures?
7000 times in the "Tanach" Old Testament and 1000 times in the New Testament

Updated Oct 5,  2002

YAH or YAHU - The 'Personal' Name of the 'God of Israel' by which He anciently revealed Himself to Moses (EXODUS 6:2).  'YAH' is spelt in original Hebrew, with the 10th letter of the Hebrew alphabet the 'yood', smallest letter in the alphabet, represented by the inverted comma ( ' ). YAHU also has the meaning of  'He is YAH'

This Name, through recent archeological discoveries in Israel, has been found to be part of more Hebrew words and names than were formerly known. There is an untold number of usages in the Tanach ('Old Testament') where this form of the Sacred Name is used as a conjunction in Biblical names.  Some of the more common examples of these are:

EliYahu ('Elijah')
YeremiYahu ('Jeremiah')
YeshiYahu ('Isaiah')
YahuShafat ('Josephat')
NetanYahu (also the name of former Israeli Prime Minister)
YahuNatan ('Jonethan')
and of course, the Messianic Salvation Name YAHU'SHUAH ('Yeshuah')

ODDITIES REGARDING THE SACRED NAME 'YAHU'

Hebrew personal names have meanings. In each of the above cases, the meanings of these names refer to the Name of the Most High, eg. YAH is Strength, My God is YAH, etc  Similarly, the names of the 12 Tribes of ancient Israel each had a specific meaning, except the Tribe of Judah, the progeny of which to this day, still represents the original Hebraic Faith instituted by Moses according to the Divine Mandate which was handed to him personally by YAH, God of Israel, some 4000 years ago.  All the disasters of Time failed to wipe out the Tribe of Judah, which today is known as 'the Jews' -  in Hebrew: YehudimThe Tribe of Judah, in Hebrew is 'Yehuda', a Jew is 'Yehudi'. While no specific Hebrew meaning is attached to this term in the modern usage, we do find the following meanings as applied to obscure Bible characters with similar names:

'YahuAdah' (YAH unveils) 1 Chron. 8:36
'YahuYadah' (YAH knows) 2 Samuel 8:18, etc

Erasing continuously, and consistently the Name of our Creator  and the Name of Our Only Savior YAHURom 3:2 ? could be an "accident" and we don't know if are commanded for a sinister powers. We hope, for their own salvation, in this actions there is not any linkage with the 'guardians of His Oracles' (the Jews).

In the modern Hebrew dictionary,  three words appear in successive order:

Yehudah - with its derivations referring to Jews
YHVH - the Sacred Name, and
Y'SHUAH - the Messiah's Name

THE TETRAGRAMMATON

The Sacred Name appears in the Hebrew Scriptures as four Hebrew letters YHVH, known as the Tetragammaton.  According to Jewish tradition it is regarded as 'not to be uttered' in order never to profane it in any way.  In Judaism it is therefore pronounced as 'Adonai', meaning 'Lord'. Notwithstanding this prohibition, the Sacred Name is acknowledged in its usage as part of the names of many Biblical characters, as referred to above - and as any Bible concordance or reference book will provide.

Because of these prohibitions, translations of the original Hebrew scrolls have, throughout the ages, replaced the four Hebrew letters YHVH, known as the Tetragammaton, with 'the LORD' (in capital letters) and the Sacred Name, in so doing, became 'lost' for many centuries.

Since the sixties, there has been a movement in modern theology and especially amongst sincere Bible students throughout the world, to restore the newly 'rediscovered' Sacred Hebrew Name.  Sacred Name publications which chose to restore the Sacred Name in the almost 7000 instances in the Bible, appeared one after the other and the 'Sacred Name Movement', towards the nineties and the turn of the millennium, became a flood which today literally engulfs the world..

Although there is no firm consensus on the actual pronouncement or spelling of the Tetragammaton YHVH there are several representations or transliterations in use by theologians and Bible students.  Some of the more popular forms are YAHVEH, YAHWEH and Jehovah. A comprehensive list of the various usages that abound, are presented further down on this page.

For the purposes of this Web Site and out of respect for the Sacredness and sanctification of the Name, we will print the Tetragammaton form YHVH throughout the studies of this Web Site and leave the reader free to either substitute it or pronounce it in the way they find comfortable.

The mystery attached to the Name of the Almighty, is related to the verb ‘to be' ( I am, I was, I will be) which is the Hebrew verb ‘Hoveh’  (the ‘v’ pronounced as in ‘victory’),  meaning “to be”, in the present tense.  YHVH therefore, means: “YAH Hoveh”, which means  “YAH is ...” (YAH being His abbreviated (actual ?) name as reflected in Psalm 68:4 in some translations.

It is therefore quite possible that the correct rendering of the SH'MAH (the Greatest Commandment - Deut 6:4) should therefore read:

SHMAA YISRAEL, YAH HOVEH ELOHEINU, YAH HOVEH ECHAD

HEAR     ISRAEL   YAH   IS         OUR GOD,   YAH   IS         ONE

In modern Hebrew grammar this matter is so serious and important, that the verb ‘to be’ (‘I am’) is not used in the present tense at all!  An Israeli will therefore state in Hebrew:  “I teacher ... I clever”, omitting the verb 'to be' (I am) in the present tense.  Usage of the Hebrew verb ‘HOVEH’ (I am) would imply referring to oneself as being the Almighty!  This gives reason for serious contemplation.  The Almighty “is” everything good, without question. The human being, being exactly the opposite, is so easily inclined to self exaltation and self praise (often hidden under a false pretense of humility, love, care, etc.). The use of "I" and "I am" in the vocabulary of the proud and arrogant individual is a popular practice. The indwelling Spirit of the Almighty in the heart and soul of the believer, changes this selfish, haughty, deceiving attitude to an attitude of genuine humility, recreated in His Image, as the Almighty requires of us to possess. Volumes could be written on this subject.

(as Y'SHUAH means "YAH is Salvation" or "YAH the Saviour").

YAHU'SHUAH- The original Hebrew or Jewish Name of the professing Jewish Messiah, who was accepted as such by a certain section (some 3000 souls) of Israel, at and after His Appearance in Israel, some 2000 years ago.  To them He was known as YAHU'SHUAH  (abbreviated: Y'SHUAH, also pronounced YEHOSHUA or YESHUA).  In time, over the first few centuries after Messiah,   His Name was gradually changed to "Je-Zeus Khristos" by the pagan masses who converted and joined the originally Jewish Messianic Sect.  Out of this, Christianity was born, which was a mixture of originally pure Judaism, and gradually, progressive influences of pagan customs and traditions, together with a growing tide of an anti-Semitic spirit.  This was greatly due to the instigation of influential leaders like Constantine the Great, who was a Zeus worshipper, and who purportedly converted to Christianity.  It was also a natural process as a result of the infiltration of followers of the sungod, Zeus,  into the Christian ranks. Even the name of their pagan idol 'Zeus' was applied to their new-found Jewish Messiah - and Y'Shuah  (the abbreviated transliteration of YAHU'SHUAH),  became "Y'Zeus" or Je-Zeus - which became 'Jesus' in English  (NOTE - the middle 's' is pronounced as a 'z').  In other languages, it took on various other forms. Search The Truth. Do not Stop Here ! We encourages You to fallow this Lead and Investigate this case and clarify more this. We want to know what you found and correct any misunderstanding or mistakes that we have, for the sake of our generations, and worship Our Creator with a pure heart.

A similar pagan influenced name-shift has been retained to this day in the KJV translation of Luke 4:27, where it refers to the prophet "Eliseus' and an event recorded in 2 Kings 5:14 (according even to the KJV reference version).  This prophet's Hebrew name, however, was 'Eli'Shuah', which means "God is my Salvation" (as Y'SHUAH means "YAH is Salvation" or "YAH the Saviour"). Exactly the same as the pagan influence changed Y'SHUAH to "Y'Zeus" - ('Jesus' - phonetically 'Jezus'), so also Luk 4:27 reflects the change of "Eli'Shuah" to "Eli'Zeus'  ("My God is Zeus")!  Youngs Bible Concordance in its reference to the name 'Eliseus',  states: "The form in which the name of Elisha appears in the common version of the New Testament and the Apocrypha in Luke 4:27".

The Hebrew form of the Name YAHU'SHUAH (or Y'SHUAH) is often used in the Tanach (Old Testament) as well as in the official Jewish daily and festival Prayer Books, where it is generally translated as "Salvation".

The recent much acclaimed computer generated research into repeating patterns or 'secret revealing codes' purportedly contained in the original Hebrew text of the Tanach (Hebrew Bible), revealed hidden codes of the Name Y'SHUAH in all the prophetic sections concerning the promised Messiah.

The 6th Book of the Bible uses the identical Hebrew form, and is translated "Joshua".   The most probable authentic form is YAHOSHUA or YAHU'SHUA

The publishers wish to emphasise that, although the forms YAHVEH (for the God of Israel), and YAHU'SHUAH (for the Messiah) are favoured in this edition, we acknowledge most of the other accepted forms.  We believe that we should not be dogmatic, since all the various forms which are so dogmatically insisted upon by various interpreters, are merely transliterations of the original Hebrew - which after all, is the only true and exact Name.  All the various forms which are presented by Sacred Name promoters and which are the cause of so much confusion,  are proposed in an earnest endeavour to proclaim the Biblical Sacred Names.  This process of representing a word or a name in a different language, is called 'transliteration'.

TRANSLITERATION OF THE HEBREW SACRED NAMES
INTO OTHER LANGUAGES

This process of writing Hebrew words in another language or alphabet is more an art than a science, and opinions on the correct way to transliterate Hebrew words and names vary widely amongst the Sacred Name Restorers amongst all the nations of the world.. This is why, for instance,  the Jewish festival of lights (in Hebrew,  spelled Chet-Nun-Kaf-He) is transliterated as 'Chanukah, Chanukkah, Hanuka'  and many other forms   Each spelling has a legitimate phonetic and orthographic basis;  none is right or wrong from a linguist's viewpoint.  It is only specific in the original Hebrew.

For purposes of this study, we have conglomerated from the Oxford Dictionary, a definition for the process of transliteration, from the three definitions affecting it, namely, name, word and transliteration. We then arrive at the following:

Transliteration of the Sacred Name is the process of representing the original Hebrew sound or combination of sounds which form a spoken word by which God is known and identified, in the closest corresponding letters of a different alphabet

It is obvious, that this process of using "the closest corresponding letters", would present various options in the 'new' alphabet, more so, because some Hebrew letters or sounds are not always represented in other languages.

An absurdity presented by this transliterating process,  is that often the 'new' representations introduce sounds that are non-existing in the Hebrew language, as for instance:
- the 'J' in 'Jehovah' ('J' as in 'George')
- the 'J' in 'Jesus'
- the 'w' in 'Yahweh' or 'Yahowah'
We have to re-emphasise that these sounds do not exist an Hebrew and is not provided for in the Hebrew alphabet, yet some Sacred Name promoters insist on their interpretation and transliteration as the 'only true' form.

It is for this reason that BIBLE REVELATIONS promote the wider tolerant stance of "acknowledging most of the other accepted forms", without digressing from the importance of finding the correct form of the Sacred Name/s. The soundness of this tolerant stance can be substantiated by performing the following exercise:
The following paragraphs below publish a list of the various transliterated forms that are commonly proclaimed for the Sacred Name/s.  Read thru this list fast, almost casually or browsingly, without great concern for specific pronunciation - and LISTEN to your own voice.  You will find that all these variations present one almost identical sound.  It is also important to realise that, in any nation we find various sectors and dialects and when presenting these sectors with the pronunciation of even their own language, we will find great variations. The foundational Truth is, that a name represents a sound (and a meaning), and in the written language, this sound is represented by certain letters to secure that sound.  regarding the Sacred Name/s - the only true foundation that we have for it, is the written Hebrew form.  And to represent this in various languages, is where the problem rests - thus, in the Curse of the Tower of Babylon (Gen. 11).

The following transliterated versions of the Sacred Names which are in use by various Sacred name groups,  are therefore acknowledged:

For YAHU'SHUAH - we may sometimes print  Y'SHUAH

Continuing with our scriptures...  Our God Yahweh said:

Isaiah 42:8  I am YAHWEH, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.

Mala 2:2  If you will not hear, And if you will not take it to heart, To give glory to My name," Says YAHWEH of hosts, "I will send a curse upon you, And I will curse your blessings. Yes, I have cursed them already, Because you do not take it to heart.

Psalms 105:1  Oh, give thanks to YAHWEH! Call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples!

Psalms 116:17  I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of YAHWEH.

Isaiah 12:4  And in that day you will say: "Praise YAHWEH, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted.

Zechariah 13:9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people: and they shall say, Yahweh is my Elohim.

This is only a small sampling of the hundreds of scriptures that tell us of the importance of His name. I invite you to consider these others by clicking here.

The scriptures reveal to us the importance of our Creator's name. Scripture tells us not to take His name in vain (Exodus 20:7), to hallow (devote to holy use) his name (Matt: 6:9), we are to praise his name (Rev.19:5), that the Son came in the Fathers name, and by believing might have life through His name.

In conclusion it is very evident that Yahweh's name is important to Him but it apparently was not important to those who have translated His word into the English language. Therefore we must make every effort when we see His name substituted in our scriptures to restore them back as we read them. We cannot change what has already been done but we can zealously return to the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

SACRED NAME VERSIONS OF THE BIBLE

It is vital that students of the Bible have a Sacred Name version because the Scriptures become far more transparent in these versions.  There are various Sacred Name versions of the Bible available on the market. These are normally not easily obtainable.  Please drop a line at bibrev@pix.co.za if you find any difficulties in locating a Sacred Name Bible.

How to evaluate a Bible Translation Version

Typically, the enemy has gotten 'his foot in the door' with these Sacred Name translations.  Because Truth becomes so transparent when we read the Sacred Name in some 7000 instances in the Bible, the publishers of some of these versions have not neglected to twist some of the most salient texts concerning the sublime Identity of YAHU'SHUAH as the Only true God, away from this revelationary Truth. Two popular editions which make themselves particularly guilty of this audacious tactic, are:
The Traina version, and
The Scriptures (Dr Koster)

The TEST verse, by which to test the authenticity of a specific Translation and the spirit of the translator, is:

Isaiah 9:5 (or 6 in some versions):
Here is the original Hebrew version and its literal word meanings:

Ki - Because
Yeled - a boy
yulad - born
lanu - to/for us
Ben - a son
natan - was given
lanu - to us
va'tehi - and shall be

ha'misrah - the rule, dominion
al Shichmoh - on his shoulder
va'yikra Shmoh - and - shall call - His Name
Peleh - Wonderful
Yoh'etz - Consultant, Councellor
El Gibor - God Mighty
Avi-ad - Father Eternal
Sar-Shalom - Ruler of Peace

The literal word meanings above,  indisputably refer to the Messiah as the 'Mighty God and Eternal Father' - but when comparing different translations, it becomes clear that some translators deliberately conceal this Revelation by their manipulative renderings.  The reader may be sure that the rest of such a translation, in the many less affirmative texts, will certainly continue this cover-up.

For another example of such inconsistent translation in The Scriptures - by Dr Koster,  click here, and do not neglect to read the rest of that study also - Should we address YHVH as Elohim rather than God?.

SYMBOLS THAT JESUS USED

The phrase ‘I am the’ can be understood from the mere fact that
out of the total of 218 occasions in the Bible (using NIV) nearly 200 of these are declarations
of God which states explicitly “I am the Lord” or “I am the Sovereign Lord

In the New Testament “I am the” occurs 25 times
16 times are spoken by Jesus and 5 times it refers to God Himself as quoted by Jesus

  I am that I am

SYMBOLS JESUS USED TO EXPLAIN HIMSELF. In the last days of his life Our Lord Jesus was particularly strained because he knew that his days are coming to an end, and that he had very little time left with his disciples to teach and reveal to them the great mysteries of the incarnation.  The communication of the mysteries of heaven is particularly difficult to convey, as they do not usually have terrestrial images.  Words that correspond to the concepts are totally or partially missing in human conceptual world.  As a result these messages are shrouded in symbolic language with the hope that his disciples will be able to grasp its significance as they meditated over his words and teachings.  These great symbolisms are handed over to us in the gospels.  The following studies are an attempt in understanding what Jesus was trying to put across to the human mind.

The importance of the phrase ‘I am the’ can be understood from the mere fact that out of the total of 218 occasions in the Bible (using NIV) nearly 200 of these are declarations of God which states explicitly “I am the Lord” or “I am the Sovereign Lord” or to such effect.  In the Old Testament the title I AM is considered holy and unspeakable.  It was the name as given to Moses in his encounter with the sovereign God at the burning bush theophany.  In the New Testament “I am the” occurs 25 times out of which Jesus refers to it to himself 9 times during his earthly period and 6 times in the Revelations.  That is out of 25 occurrences 16 are spoken by Jesus while 5 times it refers to God himself as quoted by Jesus.  Evidently the phrase I AM is directly related to the revelation of God as the great “I AM” - Yhvh.  A study of the gospels shows that there are seven basic symbols that Jesus used.   These are phrased with the introductory announcement, “I AM THE...” and are found in the Gospel of John.

They are:

1.  I am the bread of life  Jn. 6.35-59
2.  I am the light of the world Jn. 8.12; 9.5; 12.35-36
3.  I am the door Jn. 10.7-10
4.  I am the good shepherd Jn. 10.11-18
5.  I am the resurrection and the life Jn. 11.25
6.  I am the way, the truth and the life Jn. 14.6
7.  I am the true vine Jn. 15.1-11
8.  I am the Alpha and the Omega (*)(**) Rev. 1.8; 1.17-18; 21.6; 22.13
9.  I am the root and the offspring of David,  the bright morning star.(**) Rev. 22.16
(*) Evidently Jesus was emphasizing the fact that he was YHVH, God.
(**) After his Ascension Jesus spoke to John in his vision where he added two other “I am the...” pictures.

Apart from these verbal symbols Jesus also instituted some visible symbols.  Two of them occur in the sacrament of the Last Supper and carried over into the institution of the Breaking of the Bread or Lord’s Supper or Communion or Mass as are usually referred to by various denominations.   These are the Bread and the Vine.

Among the Christians we are familiar with the cross that appears in most churches.  The early church used the symbol of fish.  Other familiar Christian symbols are the lamb and the open book.  Each religion has a symbol, which represents the core teaching of the religion.  Thus we have the cross for Christianity, the crescent for Islam, the Star of David for Jews, the sign of Om for Hindus.  These are visual symbols.  Political parties, organizations, also use visual symbols, institutions etc.

To understand the meaning of a symbol we have to go back into the context of the person who gives the symbol.  In order to understand the symbols Jesus used, we have to do it from within the Jewish context of Jesus’ period.  We have to ask the question, how did his hearers understood it and what are the additional meaning he might have given to the symbol.  In many cases he had changed the meaning of the symbols considerably as he did with the symbol of cross by his personality and his divinity and his teachings.   Jesus being God incarnate knew much more than his hearers.  His burden was to load the symbols with as much meaning as he could so that his disciples could learn in due course of time as much about him as God incarnate as possible, and of the nature of God.  That was the purpose of incarnation. He was the ultimate revelation of God to man.  Hence his declared symbols of “I am the...” should be considered as the description of God as revealed to Man in Jesus.  It tells us who Jesus was, and what was the purpose of the incarnation.

I AM THAT I AM

The first of the revelation of God after the revelations to patriarchs Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was to Moses in the Mount Sinai at the burning bush theophany.  Here Moses expressly desires to know the name of God who is sending him.  The reply was in two specific forms.
The first response was  Ex. 3.14

“I am that I am”,

and the second response was Ex. 3.15

The Lord God of your fathers.

From the name "I am that I am" we get the personal name of God YHVH

In original it reads Eheyeh asher Eheyeh.

The Vulgate translates it as, “I am who I am”.
The Septuagint translates it as “ I am he who exists".
The Syriac, Persic, and Chaldee preserves the original verse, without translation.
The Arabic paraphrases it as, “The eternal who passes not away”.
The meaning here can be interpreted in many different senses.

It means first of all that God is a Personal, Independent Self-existent  pure being.   Without God there is no property for matter nor personality for beings.  This is the interpretation of the name YHVH.

Ex.3.15 says, “This is my  name forever, Yehovah Elohimthe Lord God.  This God declares is the name by which World have known him - the God who was active in history, the God of the fathers.  In this context, the declaration, I am that I am may be interpreted as " I am that acts through history or I am who is known through my activity."  God has no name, his revelation is found in the cosmos and in the history.  God reveals himself through history in his dealings with man.  You can know him, but you cannot understand him, simply because God is infinite and man is finite.  the connotation of the word forever is that it is true till infinity of time.  God is the same yesterday, today and forever; but our understanding of God grows with our experience.

So in the Statement “I am that I am”, God refuses to give an explanation of himself.  Simply because God is beyond human reason. Out of this ambiguity arise the various philosophical and religious traditions.

The name given by God to Moses can also be interpreted as a progressively  revealed God.  God was saying that you cannot understand me as I amYou can know me only through my actions. You can know me through my interaction with people, and through my actions in history.  You come to meYou experience me.  God in history, God who acts through history.  Thus the Bible is a revelation of God, because it is the history of a nation which tells us how God acts through people - how God transformed the lives of those who committed themselves to him; how God dealt with people who refuse to accept God.  It is the history which tells us how god acts through a community and a nation - his methods of dealing with sin, chastisement and restoration.  It is the history of the world, where God acts through history and deals with  nations and how he leads history to culmination according to his purposes.  In all these we see the unveiling of his character and reveals God.  That is why it is the Word of God.

In this sense, history of every nation is the history of God's revelation - only that in secular history we do not view it as such and God  is veiled by man's  interpretation.  The historic struggle of the people of every nation for liberation and oppression, their struggle to find fulfillment of life and purpose are part of God's revelation.  This unfolding still continues.  This unveiling of God continues in  the history of the earth, history of the nations, countries, tribes, families and individuals.  This is probably the only way to know God - in our lives.  God is known through our experience at all dimensions - social, cultural, historical, sensual, intellectual and mental, in body, mind and spirit but do not expect to feel this in a carnal life, this is beyond the regular human touch. It's a complete different dimension, it's  in the dimension of spiritual minds. Pure in a sense.

This gives three aspects of God.
Notice how Jesus refers to the relationship within the Trinity.

John 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does."
John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
John 14:11  "Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves".
John 14:26 "But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you".
John 15:26 "When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me."

Adam is a name for Mankind.  Eve was certainly in him whom God later separated out and she was the mother of all men.  So the creation was plural - many in one.  The fall of man was this consciousness that :  " I am separate  I am not He. I could be better than He as a Ruler"  It's Pride the First Sin. When Cain runs off we meet others.  As the image of God Adam was supposed to be many persons in one Mankind.  But this image was shattered by the choice that Eve and Adam made  by emphasizing their separateness as against their unity, when they came with the idea of create the First Rebellion agains the Creator. The immediate effect of this fall was the feeling of isolation and nakedness, which caused Adam and Eve to hide.  The separateness is only an idea imposed by the pride and willful ignorance of man.  As long as man refuses to accept this oneness,  the First Sin : Pride,  will engulf him to ignorance and obtain a fallen world.

But then our fallen nature will tend to associate conflicts within the family and society and the true unity of godhead would be missed.  When Paul describes church as a bride of  Christ he had this unity in mind.

Eph 4:4 There is one body and one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope when you were called--
Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
Eph 4:6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Conflict is the result of some irrevocable law of logic or state beyond the human mind.  Since there is nothing beyond God, there can be no conflict within Godhead.

CHAPTER THREE

I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE

John Chapter 6 is a discourse on the picture of Jesus as the bread.  This is a very exhaustive treatment on the symbolism where he draws the meaning of the symbolisms to its ultimate limits. John 6: 27-59

Jesus starts his discourse in the context of the feeding of the five thousand.  He then proceeds to point out that even though the bread he provided was physical bread, people ought to be looking towards him for the real food.  The real food is that sustains life - the food that endures to eternal life.    The bread is called the staff of life or the food that sustains life and helps it grow. (Ezekiel 4:16;  5:16; 14:13)  Even though Jesus refers to bread,  the symbolism is for both food and drink. “I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.” (Jn.6.35)

Here Jesus is presenting himself as the sustainer of life and not as the giver of life.  In the Bible the life giver is the Spirit of God.  So in defining himself as the bread, he implies his function in the Trinity.  Food doesn’t give life to the body, it only maintains it to be a healthy body so that it may function perfectly.  The body - and I refer to the physical body - cannot function normally unless a man has Jesus within him.  Without Jesus, the body decays and death will come. This is simply because without the power of the risen Jesus it is impossible to live a righteous life here and now.  Our ability to live a normal healthy life is dependent on Jesus in our life. As James points out, “Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is fully grown brings death.” (Ja. 1.15)  Jesus is now talking about death.  It is commonly told that death is to be understood as spiritual death or separation from God.   Death is the result of sin.  It is not antecedent to sin, but consequence of sin.   So if death is to be conquered, sin must be defeated.  Sin can be defeated only through Jesus.  The ultimate salvation of mankind lies in Jesus, the bread of life.

OLD TESTAMENT IMPLICATIONS

To understand what Jesus meant by the “Bread of life” we need to look into the Old Testament concept of bread.  The symbolic representation of bread in the Old Testament arises in the context of the Shew bread, or the bread of Presence.  This is referred in summary in Heb.9.2 and in detail in Lev.24.5-9 and Ex.25.30.  In the holies, or in the court of the Assembly where the Israel gathered together for worship on the right hand side was a golden table on which were placed twelve bread pieces. Golden table represents the heavenly abodes where the unleavened bread is placed.    Unleavened bread represents the sinless body.  Thus Jesus presents himself as the Bread that came down from heaven.  Jesus is saying that He is God incarnate and sinless.  There were twelve bread one for each tribe and were kept in two rows representing the Jews and the Gentiles, the whole mankind.  Jesus came down for the whole mankind and for every tribe in the believer’s congregation.  The priests were to eat it every week in a holy place and the bread were to be renewed.

Jesus is called the Word of God or the Living Word of GodThe Scripture is the Written Word of God.  Both are alike.  Both are bread - food and drink for the body and spirit.  The emphasis here is that for healthy living one should be continuously feeding on the Word of God in the light of the Holy Spirit, to be “created in Christ Jesus for good works.” (Eph.2.10), “by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind” (Phill.2. 2) as Jesus.  Then we will be like Jesus.

The  bread on the shew table was to be covered and interspersed with incense and necessarily eaten on the Sabbath day by the Levites and renewed every week.  The clear indication is that the feeding on the Word must be accompanied by praise and worship and prayer (incense) and a congregational feeding of word must take place every week.  The study of the Word of God must be new every week.  This is the basis of Sunday services in the present day situation.

PENTECOST

The next important symbolism of bread comes on the day of Pentecost.  The details of the Pentecost is given in Ex. 34:21-22 ;Lev. 23.16-17.  Pentecost took place on the 50th day after the waving of the first sheave of harvest (which represents the resurrection of Jesus).  That day leavened bread is placed on the shew bread table instead of the usual unleavened bread, and that only two of them.  It symbolizes mankind as a whole - both the Jews and the gentiles who are sinful - the leaven symbolizing sin.  Thus bread in general symbolizes life.  Pentecost is the celebration of the law giving at mount Sinai.  Moses brought down the tablets of law on that day.  On that day 3000 apostate Israelites who worshipped the golden calf died.  The Sinaitic covenant was the new beginning for the world, when people all over the world were to live by the law and take the consequence of the sin that was committed.  However it was a law based on mercy.  In the presence of the holiness of God all sin brings death.  But in the Sinaitic covenant, not all law breaking is punishable by death, because of the presence of the Priestly intercession and the sacrificial atonement built in the law.  In this sense the leavened bread symbolized the new redeemed life of mankind.

In the land of Canaan the third day after the Pass over, the first day of the week , was the celebration of the harvest, when the first fruits of the harvests are brought to the temple as a wave offering.  The first sheaves of the wheat were waved in front of the holy of holies.  It represents new life and the promise of a full harvest in due course.  The presentation of the two leavened loaves therefore symbolized man’s hope and promise of redemption through Jesus.  On that day Jesus roses again as a first fruit from the dead, and presented before God, as wave offering with the hope and promise of resurrection from the dead for all believers.  This is the new beginning of the new creation man.

This is exactly what is promised in Jesus.  After the 50th day of resurrection, on the day of Pentecost Holy Spirit came upon both the Jews and gentiles and the church, the beginning of the New Community of Man was born.

MANNA AS BREAD  JN. 6.48-58

1John 6:48 "I am the bread of life."
John 6:49 Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died.
John 6:50  But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die.
John 6:51  "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

In this passage Jesus compares himself with manna and distinguishes himself as that living bread which came down from heaven.  The reasoning is simple, as the manna gave life to the starving Jews in the wilderness, Jesus gives food to the spiritually starved.  the manna could not provide life, because it was not spiritual.  It is the spirit that gives life, the material is of no use for this.

John 6:52 Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?"
John 6:53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you."
John 6:54  "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day".
John 6:55  "For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink."
John 6:56 "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him."
John 6:57 "Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me."
John 6:58  "This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."

 NEW TESTAMENT IMPLICATIONS

There is New Testament implication also to this.  New testament era differs from the old in that it abrogates law and establishes love in that place.  The difference is a change in perspective.  One relies on law and duty while the latter relies on a deeper personal relationship.  Both are community centered.  The Old community was the Jewish nation and the in the new it is the Church.  The fact that the new could encompass all nations is because of this change in perspective, which transcends national boundaries and blood relations.  The manna was in actual context the binding force within the Israel during their wilderness period.  In the same way Jesus is the binding force within the church during the wilderness period of the Church.  The old were culture based and the new is supracultural.

As the bread is converted into flesh in nature, Jesus converts into the flesh of the Church and of the believer individually and collectively.  Jesus thus becomes the church, the body of Christ.
1 Cor 12:27  Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

GENERAL IMPLICATIONS

3.41  WHEAT  REPRESENTS MAN:

Man was created out of the dust and  so is wheat formed out of the dust.  Though they are formed out of the dust there is a lot of difference between the dust, the soil and the minerals  and the organic molecules that form the wheat substance and man.  Both have life in them.  That is why wheat is a food for man.  The wheat body is transformed into the human body organism by assimilation.  In the same way the Jesus, the word of God becomes life to the believer when assimilated and formed part of his daily living.  The process of conversion of wheat into body follows the following process.

wheat - ingestion - digestion - assimilation - body.

It is the same with the believer.

Believer ingests the word of God and accepts Jesus Christ as personal Savior.

2

This transforms him totally and Jesus becomes part of his life.

3

The more he ingests, more like Jesus he becomes.
I am to develop Christ-likeness - Rom. 8:29

4

Each believer then becomes the wheat, which produces the body of Christ within the church.

A grain of wheat remains as it is if left alone.  But if it falls down and dies it will yield much fruit.  Other grains are formed, thus increasing the body . Herein lies the message of Cross and resurrection of Christ. There is no resurrection for the fallen man unless he dies and resurrected in newness of life.  It regenerates itself
John 12:24  I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.

MADE AS BREAD

The process of bread making involves different steps. First it is ground to flour and then  mixed with oil  and then kneaded fully and is kept a while to form internal changes of bond.  Then it is put in the oven at high temperatures to produce the bread.  In the same way in the formation of the individual believer he is processed . He is ground through the suffering.

1 Pet 4:12

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you.

1 Pet 4:13

But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

Jesus as man also went through the suffering and in that process was made perfect in human nature and became a High Priest for all mankind.

Heb 5:8

Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered

Heb 5:9

and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him

Heb 5:10

and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

1 Pet 2:21

To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

Rom 8:18

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Rom 8:19

The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.

Rom 8:20

For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope

Rom 8:21

that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God

It is necessary that the selfishness of individual be ground into fine powder  and be anointed with the Holy spirit which produces the cohesive force within the Church.  Thus in time the individual looses their separate character and forms the church.  But for to be of use to others as food the church itself will have to go through the hot Oven.  This makes the church firm and edible.  The selfishness will have to be burned. Unity comes only through suffering.  Persecuted churches always remained united.  Even today the only country in the world where all denominations from the Pentecostals to Catholics form a united council is the Sudan Christian council  for the simple reason that it is a persecuted church.  After all the purpose of the bread is to be eaten by others.  If the church is to be a  redemptive power and be a  rejuvenating force it has to give itself up.  It is then thought that church is the ultimate purpose.  It is the body of Christ for a function.  This function is the redemption of  whole mankind.  More than that, it is the redemption of the whole creation from the bondage of decay.  Leavened or unleavened ( sinful as we are), kneaded, made into loaves, cakes or wafers and it  distributed  in every city all over the world.   Baked in an oven or hearth or coals-it is edible only when baked - made cohesive, and as bound  coherent church in  oneness is eaten.  It then gives strength and life to those who care to eat the bread .   So is Jesus. So is the Church today.  Before it is eaten it has to be broken to pieces or cut into slice.

We are called into this priesthood as Jesus himself.

1 Pet 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

John 6:54

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:55

"For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink."

John 6:56

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him."

John 6:57

"Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me"

John 6:58

"This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever."

JESUS AS THE WORD

John 1:1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:2

He was with God in the beginning.

John 1:14

The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

If Jesus is the Word and he is also the bread from heaven, life can be sustained only if we actually feed on it.  As the bread can give life only if it is ingested and then digested and infused through the blood streams, the life of the believer and of the Church can be realized only if we continuously ingest, digest and infuse the word of God.  Individually we feed on the word of God and live in it.  As a church we feed on it and live on it.

HOLY COMMUNION IMPLICATIONS

This figure of bread is directly translated into the communion of saints through the breaking of bread.  Ancient liturgies by early fathers actually declare what I have stated in the earlier portions in clear terms.
Liturgical declarations include the following :
       - wheat is brought together from various places, so also he will  gather together his people from all nations tribes and geographical areas.
       - In the communion we  remember all those who labored in it, from the preparation of the field, the sowing, caring and harvesting and then worked through the process of bread making.
        - The whole community of believers from the beginning of the age till now is present at the communion table.
It emphasizes that  we are part of everyone who ever lived and died from the beginning of creation.  Every breath contains one molecule of air that was breathed by Adam and more of Jesus. Everyone ever lived and is living is part of my breath. They are changing us.  We are changing the world.  I am my brother’s keeper and I am fully responsible for every good and bad thing that happens today .
Again we are a part of every creation, every element of universe.

This oneness of humanity, oneness of universe  is regained in Resurrected Jesus.

Eph 2:15

by abolishing in his flesh the law with its commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of the two, thus making peace,

Eph 2:16

and in this one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

Eph 2:17

He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near

What We Believe

God

God exists eternally (not created) as one being, having the attributes of being omnipotent (all powerful) omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (present within all parts of the created universe simultaneously) and all loving. God is revealed to us in the form of three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Father

God, the Father, is the Holy Presence of God in Heaven, a real place that exists outside of our physical universe.

Son

Jesus Christ is the only begotten (not created) Son of God, born of the virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit. The Son is the full representation of God in human form - both fully human and fully divine. Jesus Christ led a sinless life as the perfect lamb of God. He voluntarily died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, thereby giving us redemption from death, so that we might have a personal relationship with the Father. Jesus Christ was resurrected from the dead, demonstrating the validity of His substitutionary death and the power of the Father in fulfilling His plan of redemption. Jesus will return to earth in glory as absolute Judge and King.

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the power of God expressed to and through all who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Holy Spirit convicts the world (and believers) of sin and encourages them to repent and turn to God. The Holy Spirit gives power to the believer to fulfill the perfect will of God and to be conformed to the image of Christ.

Mankind

God created mankind (males and females) in His own image so that they might have a personal relationship with Him. However, the first humans (Adam and Eve) rebelled against God, believing the lies of Satan, thereby suffering both spiritual and physical death. God, in His love, promised to send the Messiah, by whom the sins of the world could be taken away for all who trusted in Him. Jesus, through His sinless life, fulfilled the promises of God and is the only means by which mankind can reestablish a personal relationship with God.

Bible

The Bible is the inspired word of God given through the writing styles of men led by the Holy Spirit. It is inerrant as originally written.

Church

A church is a local gathering of individuals who call Jesus Christ their Lord and have been sanctified in Christ Jesus. This assembly of professed believers meet together in the name of Jesus Christ for baptism, the Lord's Supper, worship, praise, prayer, fellowship, testimony, the ministry of the Word, discipline, and the furtherance of the Gospel. The Church is the sum of all believers who call Jesus Lord and is the visible representation of His Body on the earth.

Ordinances

Jesus established two ordinances for the Church - believer's baptism and holy communion.

Baptism. Jesus commanded us to baptize all new believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By Immersion in water, Baptism is a believer's public confession of faith in Jesus Christ, and represents his death with Christ and his resurrection to new life through Christ. Baptism is neither sufficient nor necessary for justification, but represents a believer's willingness to obediently follow Jesus.

Holy Communion. Jesus instituted communion (unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine) at the last supper (a celebration of Passover). The unleavened bread represents the Lord's body, whereas the fruit of the vine (the cup of blessing) represented the new covenant in His blood. He told us to "do this in remembrance of Me" until He comes again.

Worship

Worship is a natural response to what God has done for us and can be expressed in many different ways (both corporate and private). Corporate worship and service is to be done with a local body of believers and is not optional for obedient Christians.

Salvation

Salvation is the process by which the believer becomes conformed to the image of Christ. The process begins through a confession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord (God and Master) and Savior. Through faith alone we are justified (declared righteous) before a Holy God. The Holy Spirit is given to the believer to guide and lead him through the process of sanctification. The process is completed through the power of God as the believer is resurrected to live eternally in heaven with God.

The Rapture

The Lord Jesus Christ will return for His Church and to judge the nations of the world. The Bible clearly indicates that followers of Jesus Christ who are alive at the time will go through the Great Tribulation, but will be raptured prior to the pouring out of God's wrath upon the unrighteous.

Sanctity of Human Life

We believe that God is the author and giver of life and that we should not play God to shorten the life of those created in His image and for his Glory. For this reason, we are against abortion and euthanasia and destroying human embryos in the name of science.

The Bible and Abortion

The Biblical Basis for a Prolife Position

The Bible declares that God values all human life and that He wants all people to come to repentance to inherit eternal life.1 The Bible explains that the entire life of a human - from the beginning to its natural end - is sacred, since God determines the length of those days.2 When does human life begin? This page will examine that question from a biblical perspective.

Many Christians believe that the Bible is silent in regard to God's view on life before birth. Although the Bible does not specifically define when life begins, it does give us enough information to formulate a solid biblical position.

Jesus demonstrated the love of God for children often during His ministry. In one passage, Jesus took a child to him and sat with him. He said, "See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you, that their angels in heaven continually behold the face of My Father who is in heaven" (Matthew 18:10). Jesus tells us not to despise or look down upon the least powerful and significant (by human standards) of humans. It is ironic that the most helpless humans are those inside the womb. Of all the risks that we must face in our lives, the most dangerous place we can be is in the womb, since fully one third of all human babies are aborted in this nation - over one million every year. Greater than 98% of all abortions are done for non-medical reasons.

The Old Testament provides most of the information on God's view of life before birth, since it gives us the law. The law specifically addresses the issue of taking the life of a fetus in the book of Exodus:

"And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury, he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide. But if there is any further injury, then you shall appoint as a penalty life for life." (Exodus 21:22-23)

Therefore, the law tells us that a man who induces an abortion or miscarriage is to be punished, indicating that God values life before birth. A verse from Hosea3 says that abortion is a punishment for sin, indicating God views it as bad. Likewise, God expressed His disgust for the Ammonites, who "ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead".4 When does this life begin?

The Bible tells us God is involved in our creation from the womb:

"Did not He who made me in the womb make him, And the same one fashion us in the womb? (Job 31:15)

Yet Thou art He who did bring me forth from the womb; Thou didst make me trust when upon my mother's breasts. Upon Thee I was cast from birth; Thou hast been my God from my mother's womb. (Psalms 22:9-10)

For Thou didst form my inward parts; Thou didst weave me in my mother's womb. I will give thanks to Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Thy works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from Thee, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth. Thine eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Thy book they were all written, The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them. (Psalms 139:13-16)

Thus says the LORD who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you, `Do not fear, O Jacob My servant; And you Jeshurun whom I have chosen. (Isaiah 44:2)

Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb, "I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, And spreading out the earth all alone, (Isaiah 44:24)

God distinguishes between human life and animal life, since the killing of animals has been allowed by God from as early as just after the fall.5 It would be helpful to first define what makes human life different from that of the animals.

The Bible says that God created three kinds of creatures:

  1. Creatures which possess bodies only
  2. Creatures which possess bodies and souls
  3. Creatures which possess bodies, souls, and spirits
  1. (Hebrew - basar, Greek - swma

  2. (Hebrew - nephesh, Greek - psuchay)

  3. (Hebrew - ruach, Greek - pneuma)

Most of God's creatures possess bodies only. These creatures include the insects, worms, fish, etc. God defines the creatures possessing souls as being the birds, the whales, the predatory and domesticated land mammals, and human beings (Genesis 1:20-27). Creatures which possess a soul have the characteristics of having a mind, a will, and emotion. Most of us who have cats or dogs realize that these soulish creatures have all these character traits.

Therefore, the difference between human life and animal life is that, in addition to having a body and soul, we are endowed with a spirit, (1 Thessalonians 5:23), by which we can communicate with, love, and worship God. The Bible tells us that God forms this spirit within us,6 and we are endowed with a spirit before birth (Luke 1:15), which makes us fully human before we are born.

In addition, there are a number of great men of God (and Jesus) who were called to be God's servants from the womb.

Who were called to be God's servants from the womb ?

Samson:

Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, "A man of God came to me and his appearance was like the appearance of the angel of God, very awesome. And I did not ask him where he came from, nor did he tell me his name. "But he said to me, `Behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son, and now you shall not drink wine or strong drink nor eat any unclean thing, for the boy shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death." (Judges 13:6-7, see also Judges 16:17)

Jesus (prophecy):

Listen to Me, O islands, And pay attention, you peoples from afar. The LORD called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother He named Me. (Isaiah 49:1)

And now says the LORD, who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant, To bring Jacob back to Him, in order that Israel might be gathered to Him (For I am honored in the sight of the LORD, And My God is My strength), (Isaiah 49:5)

Yet Thou art He who didst bring me forth from the womb; Thou didst make me trust when upon my mother's breasts. Upon Thee I was cast from birth; Thou hast been my God from my mother's womb. (Psalms 22:9-10)

Jeremiah:

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations." (Jeremiah 1:5)

John the Baptist:

"For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine or liquor; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, while yet in his mother's womb." (Luke 1:15)

Paul:

But when He who had set me apart, even from my mother's womb, and called me through His grace, was pleased (Galatians 1:15)

In addition, the Bible tells us the wicked are estranged or enemies of God from the womb:

The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth. (Psalms 58:3)

All of the above verses tell us God considers us to be human before we are born, but they don't answer the question of when we actually become so. I propose there is a way to know what God considers the latest point in development at which we must consider a fetus to be a living human. Even before God gave Moses the law, when He gave Noah and his family all the animals for food (in addition to the plants), He told them, "Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood" (Genesis 9:4). At the same time, God gave the law and penalty for murder (described as the shedding of "man's blood").7 Therefore, God considers blood to be the basis for life and the shedding of human blood, which results in death, to be murder. Science tells us that the heart of the human fetus begins to form 18 days after conception.8 There is a measurable heart beat 21-24 days after conception.9 Since blood is flowing at this point, it is likely that blood formation begins well before day 21 (I could find no reference for the date at which blood formation begins). Therefore, this represents the latest date at which we must consider the fetus to be human (according to biblical standards), which is only 7-10 days after a women would expect to begin her menses. Most women have cycles that can vary by this amount, and therefore do not discover they are pregnant until after this point. For all practical purposes, from a biblical perspective, abortion at any point must be considered murder by Bible-believing Christians.

This article was not written with the intent to condemn those who have aborted their babies or participated in decisions to do so. Praise be to God that He has provided a way for all of us to escape the condemnation we all rightfully deserve.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

 San Mateo 16:24-26

1 John 2:18, Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. JUST HOW NEAR IS REVELATION 13?

"And he causeth all, both small and  great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his   number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Revelation 13:16-18

YOU GUESSED IT! 666!

All of the marks, or bars are associated with numbers at the bottom, except the marks at the first, middle, and end. Notice the marks for the number "6" are "||". And these marks are the same marks at the first, in the middle and at the end!
Here's the other numbers removed.
The number "666" is hidden in every UPC bar code!
(If you don't believe it, get a bar code and look at it!.)

Something else mysterious has appeared. In the last few years, some UPC codes have appeared with additional boxes underneath the bar code. Beside the boxes are 2 letters - the letter F and the letter H! According to researchers, they stand for forehead or hand. And the purchaser must have the required mark in their forehead or hand before purchasing.

You say it'll never happen! SOME ARE ALREADY OUT!

Bar codes, such as these, have already appeared in some Midwestern stores. According to researchers: the F - is for FOREHEAD, and the H - is for HAND! And according to researchers, the purchaser must have a mark in their right hand or forehead before purchasing!

One party moving rapidly in bar-code identification is the Federal Government. Automatic I.D. News, April 1991, says, (p.46) "Everything that is being used in the military system has been-or will be-marked with a bar code. . . EVEN DOWN TO INDIVIDUAL SOLDIERS. . . EVERYONE GETS A BAR CODE."

At least 15 high schools in New York City are participating in a pilot program using bar- coded identification and scanners to "keep careful tabs on the students" . The Esquire magazine of March 1990, (p.89) asked the obvious question, ". . .will we all be tagged in the end?"

In 1935, the Social Security program was enacted as a simple retirement system to be funded by payroll contributions. But in 1974, the Senate Finance Committee voted to issue a Social Security card to every child entering the first grade. Time magazine of March 13, 1972, commenting on the action said, (p.16) "Such a system would further enable the Government to amass information on citizens and STORE IT IN A CENTRAL COMPUTER UNDER A SINGLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER." Then in 1989, a law was passed that every child, over two-years of age, must have a Social Security number to qualify as a dependent on tax returns. Now a program has been implemented, that when the baby is born, the hospital will automatically apply for the social security number! The name of the program — ENUMERATION AT BIRTH! To Enumerate means to "ASSIGN A NUMBER!"

And as much as you'd like to disbelieve and ignore it

IT WILL HAPPEN!

AND IT WILL HAPPEN SOON!

To think what is happening around the globe is coincident, or accident, is simply impossible!

To realize how near we are to the rapture, 666 - the Mark of the Beast is not even initiated UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF THE TRIBULATION

AND YET WE'RE NEARLY THERE!
ARE YOU READY FOR THE RAPTURE?
The hour is very late! Have you ever really been saved? Friend, you do not want to miss the Rapture! The time of the tribulation will be beyond anything imaginable! Think of the horror when EVIL WILL COMPLETELY TAKEOVER! The whole world will be controlled by SATAN ( SATAN = TEITAN = 666 ) HIMSELF!

AND IT WILL HAPPEN VERY, VERY SOON!

Friend, don't miss the rapture! Revelation 9:6 describes the horror, "And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them."

don't wait another minute! YOU CAN BE SAVED THIS VERY MINUTE!

It's simple to be saved.   Just pray this simple prayer, and mean it with all your heart.

"Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, have mercy please, and unless you save me I am lost forever. I thank you for dying for me at Calvary, I recognized you Heavenly YAHU'SHUAH as the Messiah for those 30 prophecies accomplished that Friday when you Die to pay my rescue. I know that you Arose from death and you will come back for your people, I want to be one of them that is the reason why today I come to you now, the best way I know how, and ask you to save me. I now receive you YAHU'SHUAH JESUS as my Savior, The Only One Way to YHWH God!. In JESUS Christ Sacred name YAHU'SHUAH, For The Glory and Honor of YHVH God and King of The Universe, Here is your New Servant oh Lord ! just Use Me !!Without you I recognize I am nothing in compare with your Mighty Power. Accept Me LORD, and Use Me LORD For the Glory of YHWH God."

Apparitions of Mary ?

Rome’s Idolatrous title for her idol Mary the ‘Mother of God’

The doctrine of ‘Mary, the Mother of God,’ as we know it today is the result of centuries of growth, often stimulated by pronouncements of church prelates. And yet the full-fledged system of Mariolatry is a comparatively recent development in Roman Catholic dogma. In fact the last one hundred years have quite appropriately been called the ‘Century of Mary’.

The phrase ‘Mother of God’ originated in the Council of Ephesus, in the year 431. It occurs in the Creed of Chalcedon, which was adopted by the council which met in that city in 451, and in regard to the person of Christ it declared that He was, ‘Born of the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God according to the manhood.’                                         More About The Worship of Mary other site

‘Roman priests call Mary the ‘mother of God’, a name impossible, illogical and unscriptural. It is impossible, for God can have no mother. He is eternal and without beginning while Mary was born and died within a few short years. It is illogical, for God does not require a mother for His existence. Jesus said, ‘Before Abraham was born, I am’ (John 8:58). IT is unscriptural, for the Bible gives Mary no such contradictory name. Mary was the honoured mother of the human body of Jesus – no more – as every Catholic must admit if he wishes to be reasonable and Scriptural. The divine nature of Christ existed from eternity past, long before Mary was born. Jesus never called her ‘mother’; He called her ‘woman.’ [S. E. Anderson From booklet "Is Rome the True Church?" P20]

From the sale of ‘holy’ pictures, leaflets, scapulars, candles burned before altars, fees for masses and so on, the staggering intake at commercialised shrines such as St. Anne de Beaupre, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico, Our Lady of Lourdes or Fatima and others, a steady stream of gold flows into hierarchical coffers One might also paraphrase the Roman title, ‘Mother of God,’ to ‘Minter of Gold.’

When Jesus and Mary were on earth, Did any sinner come to Mary on earth to be saved? NO Do you remember that Jesus ever said to sinners, ‘Come to Mary and she will save you’? NO Jesus has said to poor sinners, Come to me’? Has He ever retracted those words? NO who paid your debt and mine by shedding His blood; was it Mary or Jesus? Why do we not go to Him and to Him alone?

It is well known that Karol's (the pope's real name) motto is "Tuus Totus" which signifies his devotion to Mary. "I'm all yours, Mary!", "I'm totally yours, Mary!" Just look up this phrase on the internet and see the truth for yourself. Romanism is warmed over goddess worship.  Article About Jesus Christ and the Popes

Everytime a catholic person calls the pope "Holy Father" they are calling him God!

The name "Holy Father" is found only ONE time in the entire Bible and it refers to God the Father! They are calling the pope by God's name! It is extreme blasphemy to call a man by God's name or apelative, because the Holyness and Glory is For YHVH God only !! Our Elohim ( Creator ). The following passage shows YAHU'SHUAH Jesus praying before He and His disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane:

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

The pope is even looked upon as the Holy Ghost--catholics are told that they need him to teach them what God says from the Bible. That's why they have all those encylical letters and supplementary bolletins and books. Look at the catholic t.v. channel one day. They are always quoting from popes--so are "lay" catholics. Now all of a sudden, he is not only God the Father, but God the Holy Spirit too! The Bible tells us that:

1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye NEED NOT that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

The Bible says that the antichrist will call himself God. The current pope is not is the beast himself, but he is an antichrist.

1 John 2:18, Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time.

If it was the "last time" when 1 John was written, how much more so now hundreds of years later! Let us open our eyes and look for these things for they were written for our admonition and spiritual well-being. Lord, please help people to see the truth!

Catholic Religion Prohibited Bible Reading

The following is excerpted from an article by David Cloud entitled, "The KJV and the Latin Vulgate". I know middle-aged former Catholics who can remember in the 60s when they were never encouraged to read The God's Word's. Many Catholics today still don't know much about The God's Word, but the popish are attempting to incorrectly use a few passages to support their house of toothpicks called Romanism.

The Council of Trent (1545-1564) placed the Bible on its list of prohibited books, and forbade any person to read the Bible without a license from a Roman Catholic bishop or inquisitor. The Council added these words: "That if any one shall dare to read or keep in his possession that book, without such a license, he shall not receive absolution till he has given it up to his ordinary."

Rome's attempt to keep the Bible from men has continued to recent times. Pope Pius VII (1800-1823) denounced the Bible Society and expressed shock at the circulation of the Scriptures. Pius VII said, "It is evidence from experience, that the holy Scriptures, when circulated in the vulgar tongue, have, through the temerity of men, produced more harm than benefit." Pope Leo XII called the Protestant Bible the "Gospel of the Devil" in an encyclical letter of 1824. Pope Gregory XVI (1831-1846) railed "against the publication, distribution, reading, and possession of books of the holy Scriptures translated into the vulgar tongue." Pope Leo XII, in January 1850, condemned the Bible Societies and admitted the fact that the distribution of Scripture has "long been condemned by the holy chair."

Dear Catholic friend, why do you think Rome prohibited Catholics, and others, from reading the Bible? Why do you think they killed over 68 million people and called them heretics for reading and believing the Holy Scriptures? Why did Pope Pius VII say that the Bible causes men more harm than benefit? Why would God's word cause harm? You see, the Devil knows that if you read the Bible with the intention of learning the truth, you will FLY from the Catholic religion.

Over hundreds of years, the Catholic religion, headed by the pope, did unimaginable cruelties to Bible-believers. They were burned, tortured, imprisoned, banished, etc. by the Roman pope because they would only believe the Bible.

  http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/nobible.htm

Courts of Inquisition were now erected in several countries; but the Spanish Inquisition became the most powerful, and the most dreaded of any. Even the kings of Spain themselves, though arbitrary in all other respects, were taught to dread the power of the lords of the Inquisition; and the horrid cruelties they exercised compelled multitudes, who differed in opinion from the Roman Catholics, carefully to conceal their sentiments. Latino America lost counting natives killed in groups by the Roman Catholic Inquisition.

The following is an account of an auto da fe, performed at Madrid in the year 1682. The officers of the Inquisition, preceded by trumpets, kettledrums, and their banner, marched on the thirtieth of May, in cavalcade, to the palace of the great square, where they declared by proclamation, that, on the thirtieth of June, the sentence of the prisoners would be put in execution. Read more . . .

Of these prisoners, twenty men and women, with one renegade Mahometan, were ordered to be burned; fifty Jews and Jewesses, having never before been imprisoned, and repenting of their crimes, were sentenced to a long confinement, and to wear a yellow cap. The whole court of Spain was present on this occasion. The grand inquisitor's chair Juan De Torquemada was placed in a sort of tribunal far above that of the king. The most zealous of all the popish monks, and those who most implicitly obeyed the Church of Rome, were the Dominicans and Franciscans: these, therefore, the pope thought proper to invest with an exclusive right of presiding over the different courts of Inquisition, and gave them the most unlimited powers, as judges delegated by him, and immediately representing his person: they were permitted to excommunicate, or sentence to death whom they thought proper, upon the most slight information of heresy.

Why are Romans Catholics guided with this pagan ceremonies and lack of Bible readings ?

One example of pagan ceremonies being passed down is the use of  “holy water” ( who made it holy ? ) :

“The holy water stoup at the entrance of Catholic churches was also an appurtenance of the heathen temple. This aquaminarium, according to Pére Montfaucon, was a vase of holy water at the entrance of pagan temples from which those entering sprinkled themselves. Croesus presented two such to the temple of Apollo at Delphi, one of gold, the other of silver. The custom of sprinkling themselves was so necessary a part of all pagan religious offices that pagan excommunication seems to have been a prohibition of the use of holy water. The holy water of pagan, as of papal Rome, contained salt. The sprinkling brush, aspersorium, of the older days resembles that of today, as coins and basreliefs show. The apostate Emperor Julian in his hatred of Christianity had the food in the markets sprinkled with pagan holy water, knowing well that Christians would starve rather than touch it. Middleton, in speaking of the virtues and miracles ascribed to holy water by modern Romans, aptly quotes from Ovid's Fasti:

‘O easy fools, to think that a whole flood Of water e'er can purge the stain of blood,’

and compares the sprinkling of horses in the Circensian Games to the benediction of horses at the Convent of Saint Anthony in Rome in the month of January, when priests in surplices at the church door sprinkle hundreds of horses with a brush and holy water. We do not need to go to Rome to observe these things.  This rituals are performed in the whole Latin America the January First where all the peasant they took horses, donkeys, hens and rosters. Then is repeated in the Holy Week, in the Holy Mass of Palm's Sunday. The daily papers in Los Angeles, California, are continuously printing pictures of priests in their sacred ornaments blessing donkeys, cows, and other animals” (Behind the Purple Curtain, Montano, 30).

Another pagan practice is the burning of candles before images.

“‘They light up candles to God,’ wrote the church father, Lactantius, of the heathen, ‘as if He lived in the dark. Do not they deserve to pass for madmen who offer lamps to the author and giver of light?’ In the collections of old inscriptions we find many instances of donation from private persons of lamps and candlesticks for the altars of the gods. The old heathen altars were hung with votive objects and pictures representing cures and answered prayers.

‘Now goddess, help, for thou canst help bestow, As, all these pictures round thy altars show,’

quotes Middleton from Tibullus. Especially crowded with such objects were the shrines of Aesculapius, the god of medicine. Polydore Virgil says of this practice, ‘In the same manner do we now offer up in our churches little images of wax, and as oft as any part of the body is hurt we presently make a vow to one of the saints to whom, on our recovery, we make an offering of that hand or foot in wax. A scrupulous man will question whether in this we imitate the superstitions of our ancestors.’ Middleton found so many of these pictures dedicated to the Virgin in Catholic churches that he applied, to those who paint for Catholic shrines, Juvenal's remarks concerning the debt painters of such pagan votive offerings owed to Isis:

‘As once to Isis, now it may be said That painters to the Virgin owe their bread.’

Middleton declares that Rome makes idolatry, which the first Christians looked upon as the most criminal part of paganism, the principal part of its worship. He describes the holy image of Loretto: ‘Its face is as black as a Negro's, therein resembling the idols of pagan antiquity which...classical writers described as black with the perpetual smoke of lamps and incense’” (Behind the Purple Curtain, Montano, 31-32).

Not only does Rome, practice the religion of full of paganism,  she has adopted their gods as her “saints”.

“Pagan deities have been baptized into the church and appear as Christian saints. ‘In the church of Saint Agnes they shewed me an antique statue of a young Bacchus which, with a new name and some little change of draping, stands now worshiped under the title of a female saint.’ The Pantheon, dedicated to Jove and all the gods, was piously reconsecrated by Boniface IV to the Virgin and all the saints. The little temple of Vesta, mentioned by Horace, is now possessed by the Madonna of the Sun; that of Fortuna Virilis by Mary the Egyptian; that of Saturn by Saint Adrian; that of Romulus and Remus in the Via Sacra by Cosmas and Damianus. At the foot of Mount Palatine between the Forum and Circus Maximus, on the spot where Romulus was said to have been suckled by the wolf, stands a little round temple. In this stood the statue of the wolf and the sucklings, and in pagan days it was visited by mothers and nurses with sickly infants moved by the conviction that there health and vigor were to be found. When this temple was transformed into the church of Theodorus, the custom of presenting children at the shrine continued on through the centuries, and Middleton says: ‘As oft as I looked into this church, ten or a dozen women could be seen, each with a child in her lap, sitting with silent reverence before the altar of the saint in expectation of his miraculous influence on the health of the infant.’ These changes of name were made with as little abruptness as possible. A Roman temple to Apollo is supplanted by a church of Saint Apollinaris. The temple of the Bona Dea, or Good Goddess, is now dedicated to the Madonna. Where once was a temple of Mars now stands a church dedicated to Martina with the inscription:

Mars hence expelled; Martina, martyred maid, Claims now that worship which to him was paid.

An altar to St. Baccho and others to saints with such names as Quirinus, Romula and Redempta, Nymphia, Mercurius, and the like, suggest the easy passage from pagan Rome to papal Rome. A monastery on Mount Soracte gets its appropriate name of S. Oreste ("S" being the abbreviation for Saint). Thus this holy mountain stands under the protection of a patron whose being is just as imaginary as that of its old guardian, Apollo. Various illustrations are given as to how saints are made. In Spain a Saint Viar attained at one time great popularity. When search was made for the reason a stone was produced with the antique lettering "S Viar," which the antiquaries readily saw to be a small fragment of some old Roman inscription in memory of one who had been PraefectuS VIARum, or overseer of the highway. So in Catholic England the Saint Amphibolus, who was supposed to be a companion saint to Saint Albans, was traced to amphibolus, a name used to signify a rough shaggy coat which ecclesiastical persons wore in that age. Saint Amphibolus, then, instead of being a co-worker of Saint Albans, was that worthy's ulster. So Saint Veronica's name can be resolved into vera icon , or true picture. Veronica was the lengendary woman whose handkerchief relieved the bloody sweat of our Lord on the way to Golgotha and retained the true picture of his face. Two of these cloths exist in two different Roman churches, but the saint herself disappears in two words, vera icon. Old Rome had its gods of the street and highway; worshiped at wayside shrines. These, too, were rebaptized and the old Hecate in triviis became the Maria in Triviis, a church observed by Middleton. Huge wooden crosses by the roadside, covered with wreaths and votive offerings, replace the old tree trunks such as the one Ovid mentions,

"With ribbons, garlands, pictures covered o'er, The fruit of pious vows from rich and poor."

666, The Number of the Beast

THE GODFATHER ( il Padrino), THE FATHER ( The Pope ) COSA NOSTRA ( mafia ) ROMANS ONLY?

THE POPE ( PAPA=FATHER)  "VICARIUS FILII DEI" = 666 = SUBSTITUE OF  SON OF GOD

Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Note that according to verse 17, there are three different characteristics that distinguish the beast:

  • his mark (of authority)
  • his name.
  • the number of his name (666).

It might be argued by some that 666 must be applied to one man's name, and that this will then help identify him as the antichrist. I would offer the following verse to show that 666 need not apply solely to a man's name:

Rev 19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

The same Greek word translated as name (onoma: G3686) that appears in Revelation 13:17-18 is also used in chapter 19:16, so clearly the word can also apply to a title, and not just one man's name. Now, we are told that it takes a certain understanding and wisdom to discern just how this number is actually applied. Based on the fact that 666 can apply to a title, below are several words and phrases that have been put forth over the centuries as probable solutions to the enigma of 666.

THE POPE ( PAPA=FATHER)  "VICARIUS FILII DEI" = 666 = SUBSTITUE OF  SON OF GOD

NOTE: Latin is the official language of the Roman Catholic Church. Church Documents are usually published first in Latin, and then translated from the Latin into other languages. The association of "Lateinos" with 666 was first suggested by Irenæus (ca. 130-202 A.D.) who proposed in his Against Heresies that it might be the name of the fourth kingdom in Daniel 7:7.

Then also Lateinos has the number six hundred and sixty-six; and it is a very probable [solution], this being the name of the last kingdom [of the four seen by Daniel]. For the Latins are they who at present bear rule:  Pure coincidence. Are LATINOS from LATINOamerica in a Future Project with the new Mexican SAINT Juan Diego ?

1 John 2:18, Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there MANY ANTICHRISTS; whereby we know that it is the last time Rev 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
