Chinese symbols include a BEAR and owl/pheasant. This is usually in relation to radial view shapes which look like a bear’s paw mark or bird’s foot [swastika]
However, the Han dynasty symbolised a jetting comet viewed down its axis of rotation pointing to earth as a divine long-tailed pheasant. Encke sometimes takes up this perspective.
From a similar axial perspective, a bear actual could be discerned.
A cosmic bird[sometimes one-legged, also Phoenix nix from ashes?]], which hovers in the sky screaming and spitting/vomiting blood is globally associated with a rolling/ spinning cross/swastika.
Allegro 95 The Phoenix burns itself alive on its own nest at the end of an extremely long life. Then a grub like larva arises from its fertilised ashes, growing into yet another Phoenix. Like the fabulous Phoenix, the mushroom is regenerated, bursting forth, only to die as quickly, and then apparently miraculously to reappear, a ressurection of its own self.

Look for sounds - clanging armour, trumpets, distant gunfire,
Look for smells all meteorites have high sulphur compounds [brimstone] which give off a strong odour when heated
Don’t pass over myths mentioning flies, worms, lice, hornets, dragonflies, [flying, stinging] serpents, plague, dust and vermin!
Don’t take current ‘safe’ interpretations of myths at face value, investigate alternative interpretations. Biblical example:
N 24:17 .a star[=a Messianic symbol]/comet shall come forth/ to trample on out of Jacob and a sceptre shall rise out of Israel and shall smite/crush the corners of Moab, and destroy / break down all the children of Seth ‘Safe’ interpretation - there will be a Messianic leader from the tribe of Jacob, who will conquer neighbours.
Catastrophic interpretation - in May/June the time of the Zodiacal twins Jacob and red/hairy Esau [& of the daytime Beta Taurids] a comet will come from their region and that of the Moon [Jacob/Judah is also Moon] in the sky and destroy enemies [see Jewish Holidays, D Renberg p17 & Hebrew Myths R Graves & R Patar,p147]
Its important to remember that there are many levels of reality/interpretations. Myths are ‘holistic’ in nature. One interpretation doesn’t rule out another. Devastation caused by a comet obviously gives an opportunity for invasion by less effected neighbours.
Here are a couple of examples from the Koran highlighting how actual events which lie at the centre of myths become forgotten, re-interpreted or superseded by theological/metaphorical/allegorical explanations [incidentally, they reinforce the main research theme that a rise in visitor’s activity is related to catastrophism. These flattened their ranks like a harvested cornfield trodden by herds of hungry cattle.. The stones produced pustules and sores on their skin, which spread like pestilence. Ref Qu’ran 105 4-5

The ‘safe’ reference refers to a burden being taken away by Allah [Qu’ran xciv 1-3 ].

His voice penetrates 200000 firmaments. Every utterance = 12000 lightning flashes. He is one of 2 subordinates to Jehuel, prince of fire.
JEHUEL [Michael] chief of Seraphim [or Seraphiel{north, Mercury}, Hayyoth] - angels of fire, light, love - fiery serpents who roar like lions - surrounded by intense flames
MICHAEL , in 7th Heaven, is the Prince of light, the Leader of the Angels of light. Has emerald wings, covered with green saffron hairs, 1 million faces and mouths speaking in a million tongues. Looks like the Shekinah in the Burning Bush. He shed tears which are the Cherubim and precious stones.

THE SHEKINAH - Michael was the forerunner
On some levels, myths involving the Shekinah are about sexual cycles/ the Moon. There is also a definite cometary/catastrophist aspect.
HAYYOTH 36 Fire Angels = camp of Shekinah. Fiery breath always threatening to destroy, protected by Galizur.

=CHERUB of 28:12-19 The first to sin. HURLED DOWN FROM THE GARDEN/MOUNTAIN OF GOD.
Hesed right hand of the Shekinah
Z376,1400 The Shekinah was the brightness, the consuming fire of God. She was 6500 times brighter than the sun with a flame of fire in her wings & 3 spikes sharper than a sword..in her hands[sefira/ot? see above].
At first, as the elohim, she was in the upper realms/ 7th heaven, like the sun. She was in union with Tiferet/Tiphareth [=syncretism]. The latter looks like the sun, a limitless flash of lightning stretching to infinity and is the COVENANT, the SWORD & SHIELD [Ps84:12]. Z376,1203 Together as the divine polarity, they formed YHWH. She would go up and down to her place between Adam and Moses.
She was enthroned on the Mercy Seat in a cloud of fire, flanked by the cherub/cherubim [sefira/ot? see above]. Then she and the Cherubim were separated and [red] Adam was expelled by the action of the hissing primordial serpent.
Z375/6,407,416 In punishment, she was cast down [Lam 2:1] she fell from [7th] Heaven like the Burning Bush.
or the Shekinah broke away from the constraints of Gevurah and another 5 Sefirot[see above] as they burned in anger against her. [Gevurah can also become a mighty supernal fire when roused. When he does so, the Moon fills with blood from the left, and all waters rise on earth]
Z376 The Shekinah became a demonic force[Prov 5:5]. Z377 Struggle took place with the serpent Fire was kindled within the Godhead. Filled with sacred fury, she acted like an avenging sword with the power of the kindled flame, repelling and crushing the serpent. Z375,379 Her blue light consumed as she destroyed the world. She acted like a raging and devouring fire, casting terror, fear and trembling upon the world and its inhabitants...a raging fiery furnace...the fire raged and burned the world with its flames.
She calmed down, but rage would rise from time to time. Z376/7 Roused and let loose from the 6 Sefirot, she became [like the Sefirot Gevureh] the flame of strict judgement. Then there would be NOONDAY DESTRUCTIONS with rods of flame, fire and hot coals.
Now in the 2nd heaven [=Moon and/or Exodus Comet?] the Shekinah had 2 aspects:
Z374/6/8 1 When bright, her radiance could descend to earth as she exuded sweet
