DAVID WALKER< son of Alexander Walker and Jane Hammer, was born March 7, 1763 and married Jane Holmes October 20, 1790. She was born in Ireland and came to America when she was 14 years of age. The family moved from Rockbridge County, Va. to Woodford County Kentucky and then on to Butler Fork in Adair County, Kentucky where he died on the 23rd day of December, 1827. After his death his wife moved to Irish Grove, Sangamon County, IL. where she died some years later. All of his family were members of the Presbyterian Church, and he was a ruling elder.
They had ten children:
William Walker, not married, died War of 1812.
